Being against immigration is racist!!!!

Rapid diversification is terrible. Look at Britain and Canada as an example. Importing people who dont follow or want to follow western values is not the way to do it. The welfare incentive must end as well
Ok-Technology-5722@reddit (OP)
The British and the Canadians didn’t handle it correctly but diversity. It’s always gonna be a good thing. Let me tell you something if we lose 19% of all foreigners we’re gonna lose half the workforce that’s gonna cripple the economic of the United States.
Acrobatic-Dinner-112@reddit
I agree with you on your facts. whether the British and Canadians handling it right is a pov situation.
I think native Americans (not the real ones) I refer to the the English and German immigrants descendants, often confuse loyalty and adoption of a new country vs. they don’t look like me, don’t like the same things I like, thus not assimilated - not American.
Is a very superficial understanding of immigration - kind of child like - like a toddler understanding the world.
Oftentimes the new immigrants embody more of the American values than the ones complaining that they don’t. For reason that people immigrate in the first place - find a better life and future for their families, and America is the place to achieve - hence loyalty and values.
The irony is that the children of the newer immigrants who are currently facing discrimination from the children of the old immigrants, will come up with a bunch of silliness on why the even “newer immigrants” are not Americans.
Human nature really, happened to the Italians, to the Irish, etc.
The complains are just a continuation of the “circle of dumb”.

It would not cripple the US, it would slow down for a tick then bounce back over time.
Ok_Condition_4017@reddit
Diversity is not our strength. It will be the downfall of America.
Alternative_Pilot_92@reddit
Diversity back when people assimilated was great, but now they want to come here and still live like they did in the home country.
Ok_Condition_4017@reddit
This I totally agree with
Alternative_Pilot_92@reddit
Absolutely not. Immigration by those that bring more than they take is good but just look at the UK and Canada for evidence of the disaster that is mass migration.
GrimHoly@reddit
Rampant immigration is a direct threat to libertarian ideals as it allows corporations to completely undercut and sidestep the capitalist markets, forces more public investment in infrastructure and security, breaks the benefits of unified cultural society causing further necessity of public investments, takes limited jobs houses resources and education spots the list goes on and on
sixisrending@reddit
Immigration is the #1 tool for corporate union busting.

Immigration and diversity is certainly a strength, but there needs to be shared values, and a system that ensures shared values.
I love diverse cultures, but we need to have shared values of individual freedoms, civil liberties, mutual respect and acceptance of differences, a respect for order, a respect for legal equality among sexes (some other nations do not respect women, and that value can be very damaging to the United States), a respect for the rule of law, a respect for fair trade, which means no scams and no dishonest trade schemes, and a respect for due process.

I like the Polish model for immigration: allow immigration, but have strict restrictions for asylum, focus on social assimilation, and emphasis on skills and workers that benefit the economy (no welfare seekers).
From AI:
“Overview of the Polish Immigration Model
The Polish immigration model is designed to balance national security, social integration, and labor market needs. It has evolved significantly in recent years, particularly in response to increased migration flows and geopolitical challenges.
Key Features
Selective Approach
Streamlined Processes
Social Integration

I truly don’t believe Polish immigration model is the best one single mistake. Everything could collapse.
AitrusAK@reddit
How about the Danish model then?
Regardless, I don’t support the mass importation of bodies simply for economic reasons. Has a very “Then who will pick our cotton for us?” kind of feel to it.
I would rather the free market expand or contract as it wants to naturally based on supply and demand. Artificially inflating demand with bringing in immigrants isn’t a solution.
Diversity for diversity’s sake is an objectively bad thing. Some cultural values are directly antithetical to American values and the Constitution. Diversity of thought is all that matters, not demographics. I guarantee that a people from New York City, Bombay, Tokyo, and Paris have more in common than any of them have with a rural Iowa farmboy or the descendant of a gold miner living in rural Alaska.

From 2020–2024, undocumented immigrants were a net consumer of taxpayer funding. They paid $96.7 billion in taxes in 2022 (about $8,889 per person), mainly via payroll, sales, and property taxes.
The most cited estimate shows a gross annual cost of $8,776 per undocumented immigrant or associated U.S.-born child, per FAIR’s 2023 analysis (covering ~15.5 million undocumented + 5.4 million citizen children). Taxes offset ~17% of costs, yielding a net fiscal burden of $150.7 billion annually across all government levels.0 Federal-only projections (e.g., CBO on the post-2021 surge) sometimes show net revenue gains from economic activity, but state/local budgets faced net costs, especially for education and services. Estimates vary by methodology.
