ULPT Request: How to get Apple Products replaced under warranty?

I have an iPad which is under warranty for 4 more months. How can I get it replaced or even get a newer model if they launch in a few months?

What do you mean warranty? Manufacturer warranty, which only covers manufacturing defects, or Apple Care, which is totally different.

Manufacturer warranty. Not apple care.
I want apple to be held responsible somehow.

Responsible for what? If your product doesn’t work, they’ll replace it with the same thing.
Short of the product malfunctioning in a way that it hurts you or damages your property, You’re just gonna get the exact same thing.

Apple extremely rarely replaces iPhones and iPads for the more recent versions USB kill is effective, but you’ll just get the same model

Same model is still fine, if it is through Apple.
Will they not know I used USB kill?
Anatharias@reddit
They wouldn’t. The iPad no longer charges. Or no longer powers up upon plugging… they’ll replace it. Bunch of kids not knowing anything about tech except how to push buttons for diagnostics… kill it, you’ll be fine

Same model. Refurbished and possibly replaced on the spot.

Dropped my iPad Pro accidentally and slightly chipped bottom edge. AppleCare replaced for $99 but it was same year/model. They have plenty of old stock.

It was an open-box through eBay, which was activated a few months back. Apple does not let us buy AppleCare after 60 days of purchase. So, I wanted to take advantage of the warranty.

They will not upgrade to newer model. If you are lucky they will replace it on the spot with a refurbished one and you don’t have to wait. You can then sell it in pretty much pristine condition.
