SIG-Sauer MCX, Glock GR-115F, Daniel Defense M4A1, KAC KS-1 and HK416A5 that were into the Project Hunter program to be the new UK Special Forces standard issue rifle replacing the L119A1/A2 and L85A2/A3. All of them are equipped with short suppressors, one of the project's requirements.

what is the canted red dot mount on the HK416?
beacon2245@reddit
What are these setups? Most optics are bridged, and that canted dot on the HK is ridiculous
reznov-where-are-you@reddit
cant wait to see what ends uo winning project grayburn
Reveley97@reddit
I have a horrible feeling that we will end up with a crappy sig spear
urethrawormeater@reddit
Likely it's going to be the HK416, considering its widespread usage by European militaries and track record. Imo makes the most sense too.
reznov-where-are-you@reddit
hmm I hope not. I pray to jesus that the MoD have more sense than the americans when it comes to procurement
Ok_Isopod_998@reddit
I choose HK416 & SIG MCX
BillWilberforce@reddit
But SF likes to use widely available ammo. No point in having Gucci gear if the nearest rounds for it are 5,000 miles away.
Gardez_geekin@reddit
I mean most NATO special operations use 5.56 or 7.62x51. These rifles were all chambered in 5.56
BillWilberforce@reddit
I was assuming that the SiG was in 6.8mm.
I_dont_know420@reddit
This is the MCX, not the Spear
Gardez_geekin@reddit
The spear is the 3rd generation MCX
I_dont_know420@reddit
Yes but people know exactly what you mean when you call an MCX an MCX and when you call a Spear a Spear.
Gardez_geekin@reddit
A spear is the 3rd gen mcx.
Reveley97@reddit
Spear and spear lt are 2 different guns
Gardez_geekin@reddit
Both MCXs
Reveley97@reddit
In the same way the mp5 and g3 were both related, sure
Gardez_geekin@reddit
The spear is literally just a continuation of the MCX-R
Reveley97@reddit
With new stretched receivers, reworked internals, side charging handle and incompatible furniture
GaegeSGuns@reddit
Why would you assume that
BillWilberforce@reddit
Because the SiG MCX is best known at the moment for being the proposed replacement for the M4 and in US service comes in 6.8mm Fury.
thatARMSguy@reddit
The Spear and the Spear-LT are two completely different guns
Gardez_geekin@reddit
Nope, 5.56 as you can see from the magazine
The_First_Curse_@reddit
I'm guessing "SF" means Special Forces, which I think are like SAS and stuff. They'd be loaded up with ammo for every operation and 5.56x45mm NATO is plentiful.
Revolutionary-Wash88@reddit
If I'm not paying for it, I'm reaching for the HK
Lu1zBeast@reddit
MCX sucks, over gassed and cheap materials
EbicCringay@reddit
This trial already ended and the KS-1 was adopted as the L403A1
Nerdenator@reddit
Reject Royal Enfield screw-up corrected with Jerry space magic; return to Eugene.
MostlyOkPotato@reddit
None of these are forgotten. And this lineup is homogenous AF.
Brown_Colibri_705@reddit
This sub as well as the homonymous channel have been posting non-forgotten weapons for an eternity.
The_First_Curse_@reddit
Might as well all be the same exact gun. They all look almost identical.
Clapbakatyerblakcat@reddit
Dude, the “Forgotten” part hasn’t meant anything to either this sub or the YouTube channel for half a decade. You’re going to have to get over it.
The_First_Curse_@reddit
They all look the same...
Apprehensive-Cow5822@reddit
I chose ALL.
GearsFC3S@reddit
That list from top to bottom, or bottom to top?
Dawn_Of_The_Nature@reddit (OP)
Top to Bottom
SomeDudeNamedDavid@reddit
I'm in love with that KS-1.
