dallasgo (water) online payment

Got a notice that they are introducing their new online payment platform and the existing system will be offline for more than two weeks. Additionally we have to reenable autopay after this.
Did they hire dogs and cats to do this platform migrations? These migrations can be done with minimal downtime and they want more than two weeks to switch over. So pathetic. End of rant. 🙏🏼

Today via email I my received my old account number, new account number, and activation code. But instructions are incredibly vague and confusing. I can't log into old account or try to set up new account with activation code. When I call the customer service line, I am disconnected. SUGGESTIONS?
I will try tomorrow. If no luck I will write a check and mail (have used auto pay for 14 years!)
Thank you

i signed up using new account number and activation code successfully

Thank you for your reply. Did you create a new password with your email? Then it prompted you to use your activation code? I couldn't get past email and password. Waiting until the four hour window of security codes have passed before I try again.

yes after entering password and email u verify email. then u will be prompted for account # and activation code

And to maintain "service reliability", one will have to pay 3.15% fee to pay by credit or debit card. Epay Auto checks from checking account are not charged, but I dont give anyone unfettered access to checking account. Someone with the City must be invested with the payment processing company. What a$$holes.

I tried to sign up but it requires activation code which I don't have. When did you receive your activation code?
Condor4775@reddit
Tried also but stopped at code step. Sopposedly, letters going out today with account and code info.

Thanks for sharing this info.
I just tried to login and realized I don't have the new account number or activation code either. I called customer service and the automated system hangs up on me every time, so I wrote them as well. Hopefully, I receive the account and activation code before my bill is due which is this Friday. What a clusterF!

I just found the email at the address my online payment confirmations go to. I had 2 accounts to pay, the one that was due while they were out (which incurred a late fee) plus the new one. I paid with my bank account and was charged a fee for both. I'll be removing that payment method shortly.

That’s odd. I’ve been paying through the DallasGo site for months.
lostnthenet@reddit
Same. Mine happened last year.
cin508@reddit
It's changing, and we will have to re-register.

Current DallasGo Users
All DWU customers should be on the lookout for an activation letter arriving in the mail in early May 2026, before the upgraded DallasGo goes live on May 18.
The letter will include a new account number and step-by-step instructions on how to register and re-enroll in AutoPay on the upgraded DallasGo online payment platform. Customers with a current DallasGo profile will be required to re-register their profile on DallasGo.

Man that sucks. It hasn’t been live that long.

the migration does not begin until may 1

I’m mostly confused by the billing and payment dates for this cycle. I was just auto drafted today for my last bill. That’d put my next auto pay during the outage next month.

thank you. I had no idea

This, and the previous epay site have always been a PCI-DSS nightmare for security.

My expectations for government tech projects could not possibly be lower. If they're up and running by their stated completion date, I'll be impressed.
