Why do ugly cars exist? How is it that designs like these make it all the way to production and sale when everyone seems to agree that a model is ugly? (updated)

The model Y was the best selling EV by a huge margin last year and most buyers thing it looks decent. I think you just mean that reddit hates how it looks. The answer to that is that car manufacturers don't care what reddit thinks, they just want high sales volumes.

I mean, in the case of the Aztek the concept SUV was a lot sleeker and they had to make many revisions either because manufacturing tech wasn’t up to the task, it would’ve cost too much to build, or otherwise to meet safety standards
