This is my ideal series finale for Xena

Throughout the series, Xena could never forgive herself because of her past, So I came up with an ending like this. I'm only writing the basic outline of the finale.
In the final season, there would be a main enemy, one that threatens the entire world. And to defeat this enemy, a special object or a special sword would be needed. Xena would eventually obtain this object, but in order to use it, she would have to forgive herself. In other words, the world could only be saved if Xena forgive herself.
At first, she would try to use it but fail, and the enemy would bring her to the point of death. Then, in that moment, Xena would suddenly find herself in another dimension. There, Gabrielle, Callisto, and the other people she had killed would be present. They would help Xena forgive herself, and in the end, Xena would finally succeed in forgiving herself and defeat the enemy and save the world. In other words, she would grant her own redemption.
What would you think about this kind of ending?

the series finale is not their finale. we have to remember they get reincarnated a ton of times and always come back to each other

Without diminishing your vision of the finale, I'll just share my own. AFIN could have been a great ending if they'd cut the plot twist about having to stay dead in order to avenge 40,000 souls. Gabrielle would have poured the ashes into the Fountain of Strength, and Xena would have come back. Then, a real kiss (finally!) — and after that, they sail off into the sunset on a ship. Alive and happy.

You can't forgive yourself in an instant, just because a threat has arisen. That moment in your script is not realistic. For someone like Xena, self-forgiveness is a lifelong journey.

Xena isn't about self-forgiveness. She simply corrects one mistake then moves on to the next. She'll accept forgiveness from others if it makes them feel better, but she doesn't believe it affects her at all. To forgive herself means she crosses a boundary that no longer gives her a reason to fight differently from any other heroes like Hercules and Gabrielle, who didn't begin with blood on their hands.
Ides of March was when Xena put her guilt about her past behind her and no longer let it define her. She didn't need to forgive herself to do that. She just turns over a new leaf that her feelings don't eat away at her anymore. That's all the development she needs to be the hero she wants.
