My alternate ending idea for Xena

In the final season, there would be a main enemy, one that threatens the entire world. And to defeat this enemy, a special object or a special sword would be needed. Xena would eventually obtain this object, but in order to use it, she would have to forgive herself. In other words, the world could only be saved if Xena forgive herself.
At first, she would try to forgive herself but fail, and the enemy would bring her to the point of death. Then, in that moment, Xena would suddenly find herself in another dimension. There, Gabrielle, Callisto, and the other people she had killed would be present. They would help Xena forgive herself, and in the end, Xena would finally succeed in forgiving herself and defeat the enemy and save the world. In other words, she would grant her own redemption.
What would you think about this kind of ending?

I take exception to the implication that Xena killed Gabrielle. I think you need to work on that sentence. It also bears the problem of Callisto being Eve's soul.
I mean does she just pop out if Eve's body, go "We're cool. Ya ta!", and pop back? To be fair, I may be stoner overthinking this.
Everything outside of that one super confusing sentence is super badass, though. Outside of my above head scratches, I like it

Other than Dahaak, Herc and Xena never really had a villain with global stakes. Their stories were more grounded.

While not disagreeing, it's just funny to think of Xena and Hercules and the whole pantheon of gods surrounding them being considered "more grounded" of stories. XD

I think what I'm saying is that other "cult series," like Star Trek, often use global or even galaxy / universal-level threats, whereas Herc / Xena were more grounded in terms of character focus and single-event threats (people fighting, small warlord army outside a village, etc.). Dahaak is the only one that came to mind that threatened real impact on a societal level.

More grounded than "global or worldwide threat" stories, yes.

I'm in! For me it would have been a more logical ending because Xena was working hard to right her wrongs and should have seen a result. We shouldn't have been tortured by FIN either.

Better than the one we got.

oooh, this would be so cool. this weapon could also be somehow related to the chakram - forged by the same power perhaps?- and we would get a kickass chakram backstory we deserve, along with a much better ending

It’s good, very interesting. Can you please make that happen? Lol Now any ending that she lives is a better ending! Traumatizing I just watched it last night, I couldn’t even sleep just got so emotionally devastated. Was it too much to ask that Xena and Gabrielle walk hand in hand into the sunset?
