Xena and Gabrielle go to College/University - What are their majors in the 21st century?

Xena would want to work outside somehow. Preferably with horses or fiahing involved. Game warden in the US west would be a dream. Maybe pre-vetinary sciences or forestry/conservation with a minor in history or double major in criminal justice. Definitely on a sports scholarship. Lacrosse, hockey, fencing, field hockey, decathlon, something that requires 'many' skills.
Gabriel would go old school journalism degree with heavy poli-sci emphasis and double in creative writing.

Xena is definitely there on a sports scholarship. Something aggressive like football, basketball, hockey, maybe even baseball or lacrosse. She's not really interested in a degree, but has to do something. Environmental studies, sports medicine maybe.
Gabrielle would be in her element. So many intelligent people in one place. She's leaning toward English lit, psychology with a minor in art. She's not into sport, but loves to watch Xena play.
In modern times there isn't as big an age difference. They were high school sweethearts. Xena got her scholarship first and two years later Gabrielle applied to the same college and was accepted. They live off campus in a little studio apartment. Xena drives a beat up old F-150 or maybe a Bronco. Gabrielle rides a bicycle if she can't get a lift with Xena.

Gabrielle is a creative writing major with minors in philosophy and eastern studies. She was into drama in high school but now has her eyes set on putting her talents to work in the nonprofit industry.
Xena holds the high jump record in her school so she did get a track scholarship (she’s extremely good at discus too and hasn’t ruled out training for the Olympics but decided to pursue a degree first.) She is officially sports medicine but minoring in physics- it just comes naturally to her! She may pursue an advanced medical degree but isn’t sure- she has a call to travel the world for a bit after graduation.
She’s active in a lot of extra curricular hobbies and has Gabby into fencing but hasn’t really been able to get her into fishing or horsebacking riding. Gabby does seem to gravitate towards dance, so she’s talked Xena into a few fun salsa lessons.
They are roommates on campus till they can get their own rental nearby with a kitchen so Xena doesn’t have to always rely on the faster food options (always on the go, that one) and Gabrielle can make a few nice, homemade meals during the week do her to grab and go.

Oh and Gabs is definitely going to pursue an advanced degree- she loves to learn. Xena is really getting into the martial arts now and they are thinking of traveling to Europe so Xena can tutelage under different masters while scratching the travel bug. Gabrielle may just enroll in a European university while there with her.

Gabrielle: Social Work major. Minor in philosophy.
Xena: General Sciences. As an undergrad she has the idea of going on to medicine. Her hobby is obviously sword making.

Xena double majors in Poli Sci & History. She intends to go to law school upon graduation. She’s a full scholarship athlete who is a power forward on the basketball team and a heptathlete on the track team.
Her roommate Gabrielle is a journalism major with a minor in philosophy. They roomed together in the dorms as frosh and haven’t been apart since.

Law school is genius! Gabrielle would make a great lawyer, too, actually. They could be a team! Xena with the more aggressive, passionate arguments and Gabrielle charming the courtroom and immersing them in her storytelling.

Gabby would be a great Defense Attorney. And now that I think about it more, Xena an environmental lawyer, she’s the best lawyer in the biz to go after oil companies disrupting sea life with drilling, oil spills, etc

Idk why I could see Xena studying either history or forensic science or both. As for Gabrielle bc she's interested in diplomacy, I could see her studying global politics or sociology, maybe even dabbling in a little creative writing?
