Buying plane for the first time. Should I get a Broker?

Hi, I am buying an airplane for the first time. Looking for a used single piston six seater in the 250-350k range. I do not live in the United States so I am considering hiring the service of broker to help me find the right plane, vet it, arrange pre-buy inspections and escrow accounts and all that. Buying a plane locally is a not an option, a market just doesn't exist.
What would be the right way of approaching this? Do you have any recommendations?
Also, who pays the services of the broker? Is there a fee on my end or is it paid by the listing broker?
Thanks

Call Chris Kirk at Wild Blue. He’s a great broker working almost exclusively in that six seat single piston world: https://www.flywildblue.com/

For your specific purpose, a broker is a good idea. It's one of the rare cases where I'd recommend it. Since you're the one enlisting them, you'll be the one paying them, and they can probably also find someone to ferry/transport it to you, which you'll be paying for as well. Unless you somehow manage to negotiate that into the sale which would be surprising.
For those buying within the US domestic market, beware. A broker's job is usually to lie to everybody. The buyer, the seller, the maintenance department, everyone.

Considering your price range, yeah get a broker
