Just saw this pop up in stock on their site. It's the top of the line smart station model with dual wireless charger, Wifi, app control, etc.
Costs $560 new, so this is a solid deal.
I have a DS2i and it's awesome. Never tried the 5i version.

Agreed. I've never been especially impressed by the accuracy of the fingerprint readers which is the big reason to spend more money on this vs a No-Name-China product.
I just never got either of the vaulttec products I had to be reliable enough to trust the fingerprint reader would work the first or even second try. I always ended up just using a code.

I've had a Eufy for a couple years now. Works great, charge it every once in a while. Opens quick ( i use buttons, not the thumbprint), I get alerts if it opens/is left open/someone moves it.

Doesn't you also just do one of the vaultek models that are $150-$200, can do biometric or not. Unless I am really missing some features an extra $150 for a flock and phone charger seems a bit gratuitous.

So, imo this is not accurate. I used to have an Amazon model and then upgraded to the Vaultek DS2i. They are not the same. The Vaultek model is super smooth when it opens, so much sturdier/more solid, and it feels high quality and substantial. The Amazon one... did not.
I'm not saying it's worth it for everyone to spend an extra $100-$300 on a Vaultek version, I'm just saying they're definitely not in the same league.

VAULTEK has amazing customer service, they’ve replaced things out of warranty for me a few different times. They will make things right for people. However, they’re really overpriced.
The mobile app’s are dogshit and they keep releasing a new one for every generation of safe. They refuse to update the charging ports on their safe’s to USB-C and in some cases use D batteries as their power source for their portable lines.
At this point I don’t know how they stay in business because they have really cool designs and product lines…. But there’s soo many better choices for things that are this expensive and still behind in the times.

I think for many people, myself included, the appeal of the vaultek products is more about ease of accessibility while still preventing unauthorized access.
While burgarly is a risk, it's a much lower risk in comparison to having a curious child gain access to a condition 1 handgun, at least for me.

I have one of these. the fingerprint always works, and it opens quickly. I got it to keep my toddler from accessing my firearm, not to deter theives. Plus the wireless charger on top is nice and it looks good on a nightstand
