Very cool - it was one of the most amazing days of my teen years. They filmed the mall scenes with the slurpee dump during the day and shipped the willing over to the house for this scene and the party exteriors. A few of us are silhouettes inside having a good time in shots of the house during the party and we were directed by john hughes himself!

He's one of the greatest composers of our time and he applied that level of talent to a new wave/ska/rock band. Great music, great lyrics. I was in Socal so I think they were more prevalent. Friends from other states maybe knew DMP or Weird Science if they'd heard of them at all. I was truly bummed when they called it quits in 95.
