Spring Reloading Sale!
Get 33% OFF our 124gr Non-Plated TMJ Reloading Projectiles and load up for a new season of outdoor training and matches.
Unique to the market, Parapet’s Total Metal Jacket (TMJ) projectiles are not chemically plated or polymer-coated. The entire bullet, including the base, is jacketed with ASTM C22000 solid copper alloy strip. They are manufactured in Richmond VA USA on a state-of-the-art, high-precision, 35-Ton transfer press, yielding excellent dimensional consistency. Designed with a high ballistic coefficient and to reduce fouling by eliminating debris build-up in the bore, porting, and suppressors, our projectiles are approved for loading to magnum, +P, and major power factor velocities. They will not flake, crack, or separate, and they have no restrictions on crimping force, unlike chemically plated and polymer-coated projectiles.
With its fully encased jacket and base, it is an ideal choice for loading cartridges for ported, compensated, and suppressed firearms.
When paired with lead-free primers, these projectiles can help reduce airborne and surface lead exposure to undetectable limits. Check out our ZULU 9mm ammo and the Lead Exposure section of the website for more information.
Sale Ends 4/12/2026 - Limit 2 Orders per customer (email).

Parapet is local to me and I've reloaded 1000 of their 124's so far with no accuracy issues to speak of. Running them behind 4.2gr of 244 for about 1080 fps.
All the bullets have consistent weight, dimension, and blemish free jackets. I like them!
Parapet_Components@reddit (OP)
For best results, we suggest 1.143" - 1.145" OAL and most importantly, crimp to 0.376" - 0.378" at the case mouth. This matches our factory loads.
Wide_Fly7832@reddit
Are these match grade. I got 2500 MEDEFs ones and the accuracy is not there.
TooMuchDebugging@reddit
Would you care to elaborate? I've been considering grabbing a batch of the MEDEF's, but I haven't been able to find much about their performance.
Wide_Fly7832@reddit
I am shooting medef one. I am not getting much accuracy. 3 inches at 25 yards
TooMuchDebugging@reddit
That is helpful; thanks.
StunningFig5624@reddit
I don't have personal experience with them (yet), but everything about their manufacturing process suggests these should be quite good. Most of the accuracy comes from the consistency of the base of the bullet. Cheap FMJ aren't known for their consistent bases. These have a copper cap over the base and should be extremely consistent. I would expect them to perform quite well.
caterham09@reddit
How many people actually reload 9mm outside of for competition? It seems like there's very little savings to be had
9guy99@reddit
When you can easily buy 9mm at 20 cpr, not too many loading it. I load 9mm subs for both competition and shooting suppressed. With some shopping around and buying in large quantities, I am loading 147 gr for about 16 cpr at current prices.
Unfortunately, 124gr bullets are of little interest to me.
West-Piccolo-687@reddit
I think you may be stuck in November 2025. Things have changed past 2-3 months. And it's looking like its going to get a whole lot worse.
Show me where you're getting 9mm factory ammo for $200 a case right now cause people would flock to it right now.
Ammoseek right now has $220-$230 options, reloaded garbage, or steel cased. Actual regular factory brass ammo is sitting at $240 a case right now
And 9mm IS worth reloading if you can pick the right bullets, that's the main thing. I can load it right now for 11 cents each. It all comes down to the bullet, these are ok, but i got some that were 5 cpr.
9guy99@reddit
Fleetfarm has blazer at 12.79 a box right now. Buy 24 boxs online and use the $50 coupon on their home page, and its something like 21cpr. Or wait a week or 2 until it's on sale again and do better.
I wasn't looking for a fight, the guy simply asked if many people were loading 9mm, and I explained why it's not very common right now. If you feel like loading 9mm plinking rounds, have at it.
West-Piccolo-687@reddit
It's got a 20 box limit so i can't add the coupon code, it comes to $266
AND WTF you need to verify with id.me to buy ammo fuck that shit
bubbathedesigner@reddit
Databases will not fill themselves
GoldfishDude@reddit
Academy (and a bunch of places online) have Magtech 9mm steel case for $9.99 a box (or less).
Bitter_Bandicoot8067@reddit
I only load to get stuff thst I can't get any other way (or if it is too expensive). I load precision rifle specifically for my custom rifle. I load subs with VV320 because that is a fun suppressed load. I load M2AP into every .30 cal case that I can think of.
MyDadBeatsUpYourCat@reddit
Pre-Covid stockpiler here. I'm at about 10¢ for plated 124gr. That won't last indefinitely though..
I plan to continue reloading 9mm, but it will mostly be dedicated subsonics which makes a little more sense for cost/time
Cognito_mode@reddit
The savings are in volume. If I load with a 9 cent projectile, use a 4 cent primer, 1.5 cents of powder and picked up brass, thats 14.5 cents. Which is like 8 cents cheaper than say, Blazer Brass. 8 cents times say, 20,0000, is $1600
That being said, I also shoot competition so technically that ignores your "outside of competition" clause. Most people probably dont shoot that much
ChevTecGroup@reddit
Lots of retired people that have time
kopsis@reddit
Even with free time, I can't ignore ROI. Loading 20 rounds of 300 BLK subs gets me a "free" box of 9mm. I'd have to load about 200 rounds of 9mm to realize the same return.
ChevTecGroup@reddit
I think people believe they are saving money, like a sunk cost fallacy. Ive heard many people claim they are more self sufficient. Even though they can still only load as many rounds as they've bought components for.
Maybe the guys that are casting their own projectiles. I have a couple boxes of 380 tracers bullets I need loaded. Gotta find one of those retired guys haha
Not_an_alt_69_420@reddit
You absolutely save money by reloading. How much depends on how often, and how much, you shoot. The common calibers are only worth it if you're putting thousands of rounds down range a month, but everything obscure is almost pennies on the dollar compared to factory loads.
Plus you don't have to worry about ammo shortages/price hikes. Most reloaders have enough powder and primers to make tens of thousands of rounds, and bullets/brass are usually easy to come by.
SensitiveBudget7589@reddit
We don’t save money, we just shoot more
accounts_baleeted@reddit
Reloading for my swiss k31 or swedish mausers save me about $1 a shot. Almost the same for the garand.
Unlike my friends who don't reload, I actually shoot my old milsurps.
accounts_baleeted@reddit
I've been loading for years, and I hardly ever think about savings...
This is because I can load ammo that you can't buy, or are significantly more expensive than plinking ammo. My 9mm subs are more quiet than any factory option. My ar rounds are as accurate as black hills, and frangible rounds let me shoot steel from rifles at point blank range. All my old milspurps actually get shot, I can load 30 carbine bullets in 300blk for 110gr subs.... etc. Etc. Etc.
GoldfishDude@reddit
None of that is talking about basic range 9mm
accounts_baleeted@reddit
9mm subs and 556 frangies are absolutely basic range ammo, for a reloader...
GoldfishDude@reddit
I do reload. I don't reload 9mm because it's not worth it when I can routinely find steel case 9mm for like 17-18cpr.
This post is about 124 grain 9mm. That's range ammo. Not suppressed 147s or 77 grain OTM 5.56
accounts_baleeted@reddit
Op just asked about loading 9mm, which 9mm subs are....
ChevTecGroup@reddit
Yeah. We were talking about reloading 9mm. It makes perfect sense for many calibers
youngdoug@reddit
I mostly do it because I like RMR flat point bullets, they punch smaller holes than round nose so it’s easier to see your actual grouping.
There’s money to be saved if you have the right press. I can do about 200 rounds of 9mm per hour on the Dillon 550. California prices right now are about $14-$15 per box after tax, and my average cost for a box of 9 is somewhere around $8.50.
The real savings are in 38 special, 45 ACP, 380, stuff like that and match rifle rounds. 9mm got pretty cheap around the end of last year and the savings became nearly zero, but that didn’t last long.
blaze45x@reddit
Did 750 9mm rounds last night in 45min. I’m at .13 cents a shot for 9mm.
If you get an FRT on anything, you’ll understand. 😂
caterham09@reddit
I'm calling bs on that man. That's reloading a round ever 3.6 seconds for 45 minutes straight.
blaze45x@reddit
Ever seen a Dillon 750 with a case feeder and bullet feeder in full swing? Quick.
It’s the main reason I got a progressive. On a single stage… no way 750 in an hour lol.
But for bulk loading .223, 7.62x39 & 9mm…. I love it.
West-Piccolo-687@reddit
Thinking about getting a 750, what's the process like switching from 9mm to .223? I hear some people say it's just worth getting several presses cause it's such a hassle, but idk. Dillon has a whole ass 40 minute video on the conversion. Seems like a lot of work to switch calibers compared to a 550c for example?
blaze45x@reddit
Switching from one caliber to another takes me about 5 - 7 minutes. I have a powder dropper/tool head/dies & conversion kit for each caliber I do. Set it and forget it.
I don’t actually, but you get the idea.
It can add up fast but I waited for deals & bought used to keep costs down.
West-Piccolo-687@reddit
I was thinking of buying used but dudes on Marketplace are asking for a thousand dollars for a 20 year old 650 with random missing parts, ok comes with 4 die sets, but most are rusty as its just been sitting in a humid garage. I'll just not buy at all, or save and buy new at this point
StunningFig5624@reddit
Grab a new X-10.
StunningFig5624@reddit
That's not particularly difficult with a progressive press and bullet/case feeder.
AKC74Y@reddit
A progressive press could manage that easily. A complete cartridge with every lever pull. Could go even faster with automation.
Holliman48@reddit
I'm reloading subsonics for my suppressor. Significant savings to be had there.
StunningFig5624@reddit
With these bullets you can reload 9mm for around 0.14 a round. That's some pretty significant savings over factory ammo. Then add-in the fact that this a premium bullet vs a plated projectile like Blazer
clicktoseemyfetishes@reddit
Free brass and a really good price on primers, I suppose?
Kookaburra2@reddit
Free brass, stocked up on 50k primers when they were 3 cents apiece, powder stash from way back when as well.
StunningFig5624@reddit
Yeah, I was quoting modern prices. I went balls deep on components in 2019. Wife thought I was being ridiculous buying so much. Currently loading 9mm minor for under 0.10 a round with quality components.
Kookaburra2@reddit
Ah yeah honestly 9mm isnt worth it at all if youre buying components now. Could make the argument youre shooting better quality ammo, but many reloaders dont factor in their time to the final cost calculation. Hell even 5.56 is close for me nowadays
StunningFig5624@reddit
Of course free brass. Every range trip and every match I go to I leave with more brass than I came with. If you can't scrounge free 9mm brass reloading isn't for you.
Primers 0.035.
SensitiveBudget7589@reddit
A ton of competitors and anyone else that likes to tune their gun/ammo together
Triggerz777@reddit
A lot still. But I only see subsonic being worth it
VTPeWPeW247@reddit
I reload 9mm because I enjoy reloading and shoot a crap ton. Before primers where whatever $ they are now after the Covid jack up, there was definitely a savings to be had. Also, hand loads (at least mine) are comparable to high end 9mm ammo, not something like Blazer or White box.
accounts_baleeted@reddit
I do. My subs are significantly more quiet than factory options, and I can load some pissin hawt 115 or 124s for comp'd pistols.
Even with these 8c bullets, a 6c primer and maybe 2-3c in powder is 16-17cpr.
As for the value of my 'time' I just set aside a weekend and knock out 1k instead of wasting the time on video games or netflix. That lasts me 6 months or so.
TheStatusPoe@reddit
I primarily reload 9mm for competition. Most of the cost savings for me have been on subsonic 147-165gr. It's also nice to be able to load to full NATO spec with 124gr for certain PCCs that tend to work better with the hotter stuff.
Prestigious_Mix4569@reddit
I reload 9mm. Yeah it’s “barely worth it” compared to buying ammo.
Eric1180@reddit
✋🏻
RavenRocksPrecision@reddit
A lot more than you might think. This is a great deal from a solid company down the road from us.
I_Am_My_Own_Santa@reddit
I reload for competition in 9mm major but I also run batches of standard 9mm for my other guns. I only buy projectiles powder and primers when they're on a big sale and I buy a lot. My price per round is around $.16 which is still cheaper than store bought.
It's a marginal savings but it still makes dollars and sense. If I didn't already have the reloading presses and access to practically free casings it would probably be a different story.
At the end of the day you're right though, my main reason for reloading is making specialized major ammo for competing.
xbuzzbyx@reddit
