True equality means everyone should start adulthood the same way: in prison

Everybody screaming about fairness, equality, all that… but nobody wants the same rules.

So here’s the fix.

You have to prove you are a valuable member of society.

Everybody goes into prison at 18. Same schedule, same food, same rules. No phone, no mommy bailout.

You wake up early. You follow instructions. You show you’re not useless. You prove you can exist around other people without being a problem.

You do your time, you pass, you’re out. Clean slate. Same starting line as everybody else.

You fail? You stay.

Simple. We’re not releasing defective, useless units into society. This ain’t a charity program.

People always talking about “we need better humans” but nobody wants a quality control process. Well here ya go

The wrong kind of people are those who harm other people. They can do it by using their wealth or influence, and billionaires and major politicians are part of the 'wrong kind of people here'. Basically everyone who doesn't do anything bad to anyone else, and maybe helps a few others out is the right kind of person.

I was thinking the same. I suppose there are different high schools, but it would be simpler to set up uniform high schools with graduation requirements than to put all the grads in prison.

What about people with health problems, that are otherwise normal? Many health conditions turn into almost death sentences in prison, because of the lack of care, modern medical treatments/regimens and overall lack of any real concern for the person and their well being and overall health.

I'm a T1 diabetic. Have been since I was a kid. With modern treatment regimens and technology available to me, it's not a problem. But the accounts of those that have had to go to prison with it, they have all of that ripped away. And it's not bad enough that they are thrown back to how it was treated decades ago, they aren't even allowed to manage it themselves. And any T1 knows, that almost no PCP/GP knows the first thing about how to properly treat and care for a T1 diabetic, but now imagine it's prison medical personnel, that not only don't know WTF they're doing in regards to treating a T1, they really don't GAF.

I'm sorry, how exactly is that supposed to work? Some people will leave straight into homelessness on the streets, others will get picked up by their family chauffeur in a limo to go party in the family's mansion.

I'm not sure what exactly is this supposed to achieve, besides maybe wasting everyone's prime intellectual development years on staring at empty walls and proving you can function as a mindless drone.
