Ordered two and got double phosphates. This is why you shouldn't gamble kids.

I bought five for this promo. All five are phosphate BCG with bolt that appears to be NiB. I placed my order a few minutes before 3 PM EDT after they went OOS at least once. I wonder if they initially stock included the 3 other finishes/coatings while all later orders were fulfilled with phosphate BCGs. The bores are chrome as one would expect with a phosphate BCG. The phosphate finish on all mine is sparkly too just like another person reported here.
The extractors appear to be phosphate. The cams and gas keys appear to be nitride. I will do another review when I am done inspecting them and reply here if I find anything significant.
So far two have on a chip missing from one rail on edge so the chips may not harm the receiver--I hope. Most have minor pitting on the bolt face. All the bores look good. In particular the bores where the rings move appear to have a mirror like reflective surface. The carrier finish is not as smooth as I would like on the rails but I have not oil it yet and the phosphate carrier is dry. The cams and bolts have some oil on them. The ejectors look okay but maybe not as flat as SOTAR would like to see. Ejectors protrude the right amount and will sit flush when press in. Cams fit properly in bolts--not loose. The finish on the gas keys is not smooth but should not affect function. After removing bolts I have not detected any more with the bolt. The firing pins look okay. They are stainless. A few edges along the rails are a little sharper than I would like to feel but that may not be an issue. I don't detect any burrs elsewhere. The end of the U-channels on the carriers have no burrs unlike that on my ACI Briavo that scratched up the buffer tube on the Bravo.
I have not inserted them into any upper yet. I plan to check headspace.

Yeah, not sure what finish is on the carriers. Mine looks matte, feels like fine sandpaper and sparkles in the light. I've never seen a BCG like that and I'm just trying to figure out what it is and if it's okay to use.

Old_MI_Runner@reddit
You have the same finish on the carrier as I do which is phosphate. Phosphate should be an okay finish as long as these were done correctly. It is not a slick finish like the other finishes. One advantage is that it holds lubricant better. If you put just oil on it by the next day it'll feel pretty dry. On the YouTube channel called the School of American Rifle there is a video on lubrication. He uses a combination of synthetic motor oil and synthetic automotive grease that he mixes together and applies generously to his AR bolts. My guess is they may have had more blemished bolts they wanted to get rid of so many of us received various bolt finishes with phosphate carriers.
Does your bolt appear to have the same finish as a carrier?
SophisticPenguin@reddit
Thanks, I got a chance to look at them in daylight. Took the bolts out and didn't notice any noticeable cosmetic issues besides maybe discoloration.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Going to reply to this comment, seems like as good of place as any to consolidate.
Ordered 5 standard side-vent in one order. Believed I placed my order shortly after it initially went out of stock. Received the following
All had the bunny engraved. Most had minor machining marks. Noticed a couple seemingly inconsequential blemishes. Didn't have time to go over each very thoroughly but I didn't see any major red flags.
All came dry. Sprayed them down with Ballistol and threw them in an AR. All stiff initially, all loosened up within a few charges. Haven't shot any and will be a while until I get a chance, but as far as initially eyeballing physical function, they seemed to work properly. I might throw them back in and cycle through some dummy rounds when I get home.
Really can't tell if they're good until you shoot them so I wouldn't let this sway you much one way or another. Glad I at least got a variety. Kind of a bummer for the people who only got phosphate on large orders.
On that note, a question for some of you that might be a bit more knowledgable on BCGs. For KAK specifically, what would you say the preference in type is, most to least desirable? In my head it's NP3,Chrome,Phosphate,NiB. Maybe some arguments for chrome over NP3. Is that generally agreed upon or am I off there?
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Thank you for the feedback. What is the coating/finish on your bolts?
The darker colored bolts on the KAK website are nitride, phosphate, and DLC smoke gray.
One person did not like that NiB carrier one has NiB layer inside rather than chrome. I think most would say phosphate and NiB are less desirable. It is harder to clean phosphate but it does hold lubricant better than the others. Phosphate is the old coating/finish while NP3 and chrome are more desirable. Most are happy with chrome and I think those that want what the perceive at better parts want NP3. NiB and Nitride get some criticism.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ar15/comments/xrb4oq/chrome_vs_nickel_boron/
https://david.bookstaber.com/Interests/2013/08/firearm-action-coatings/
I was disappointed to see that I got 5 phosphate BCGs but will be content as long as all function properly. I would have preferred phosphate bolts over NiB for the reasons in the above links. I assume due to the pitting in the bolt faces they had a batch of NiB bolts that were blems that they just put in some phosphate carriers.
One person said one of his BCGs did not pass the ring test. I am happy mine all passed the ring test. I was a little concerned how much pressure I had to use to get the bolt to extend and retract but now that I lubricated two they seem to work with much less force.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Now that I'm looking at it, I can't tell what the actual bolt finishes are. I can tell you that the NiB/Chrome bcgs seem to have the same darker black bolt. The Phosphate bcgs have a slightly lighter color black. If anyone knows a definitive way to tell i would love to know.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Are you sure your NiB carriers are not actually NP3? It would have been nice if my packing list actually described what they sent. The photos in this posting don't match the colors for BCGs with some of these coatings as found on KAK's website. The DLC is called smoke DLC on the KAK website. Within this posting KAKIndustry replied a chrome carrier could come with a DLC, phosphate or NP3 bolt. I assume that other carriers like my phosphate carriers would also come with DLC, phosphate or NP3.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I'm not 100% sure. My best guess was NiB based on the picture of 4 BCGs on the original listing for blems. I don't think DLCs were included in the standard side vent blem batch, at least it wasn't mentioned in the listing.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
KAK's response to my email with my order number and photo of the bolt was "It's either or NiB.".
Given that carbon gets imbedded into NiB making it difficult or impossible to remove the discoloration we will find out after we use the BCGs and go to clean them.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I sent an email to KAK with a photo I took of my bolt and other parts asking what coating is on my bolts. I don't think I can tell from the photo in the posting. The below article may have a better image of NP3 and NiB.

Something rather important is listed here, but not acknowledged in the comments:
Be aware that you may not get this specific logo.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
The listing say at the top of the description:
"Blem Bunny Engraving on Carrier Tail"
and at the bottom it says
"Blem Logo on carrier tail may be mixed from past sales"
The top of the page state in large font:
"Dealers Choice Blem Bunny, Standard BCG, 5.56"
Some customers are going to miss that later line in the description and be disappointed.
KAKindustry@reddit
They are all bunnys, that's old text that didn't get removed don't worry.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Question for you, if we buy multiples is there a larger chance of getting a variety of finishes/more desirable finishes, or is there no preference and we may end up with a bunch of NiB?
KAKindustry@reddit
We try to supply a variety of finishes for people that are ordering more than one
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Did you sell out of all but the phosphate carriers early during the sale?
I order 5 shortly before 3PM EDT and received 5 phosphate carriers.
Mellowbelly1@reddit
that's disappointing to say the least. they should have mentioned
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I'm wondering now if KAKIndustry is now going to ignore any comments regarding these blem BCGs. I don't have so much of an issue with receiving phosphate BCGs but I would have liked to have known what the bolt coating was. The packing list does not describe the BCGs at all and customer support is unable to tell me what coating/finish is on the bolts other than either NP3 or NiB even though they have my order number and I sent them a photo. I'll find out what the coating is on the bolt once it gets dirty as NiB develops a permanent stain.
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
What coating is the sliver one with black bolt and carrier key?
KAKindustry@reddit
Carrier is hard chrome, other parts are likely DLC or phosphate.
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
Looks like the NP3 one in the pics, dang
KAKindustry@reddit
There is also np3
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
It’s the chrome one after further inspection. Blem is the finish bubbled just a bit behind the bunny on the lip of the opening. Thanks for the intel, and great product!
OregonGreen201@reddit
Ever have blem lefties?
RegardedDipshit@reddit
Good to know, appreciate the quick reply
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I don't have any prior blems from KAK so I really did not care which engraving I received and actually would not have minded different ones since I ordered more than one. I just thought it strange that at this point you would have anymore old engraving left. I am not a collector of anything anymore. I'll edit my prior reply.
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
I missed it during the Yukon sale and was super disappointed to get a couple Turkeys (probably the worst logo they've done, IMHO.)

Downvent sand cutters are $154.95
Hellsing971@reddit
Is that a good deal if you don't get to pick the finish? I've been thinking about having one badass bolt instead of 5 different toolcraft bolts.
QuasisteIlar@reddit
At worst it's a $55 discount if you get a chrome lined phosphate, which is about 25% off.
janesvoth@reddit
I just got mine in. FDE dual extractor model. Lots of value in the deal
FearsomeCubedWarrior@reddit
you lucky, I've got TiN gold abomination that I've immediately got rid of.
QuasisteIlar@reddit
Just got mine as well -- I went for kspec for extra $$$. I got the FDE PVD finish.
janesvoth@reddit
Nice. Similar here. If someone wants to flip I'm in but Im super happy with what I got

Bought 2 at 2 separate times they sent me a phosphate that looked like sandpaper. Absolutely terrible didn’t even use it threw it away. They never send you any good ones or finishes. Not worth your money.
CowboyHP@reddit
That’s unfortunate. I ordered two, got NiB and Chrome. Both look good to my eyes, but I haven’t pulled the bolts yet to inspect inside.
flopanthers@reddit
Don’t be a shill. They would never do that.
Ok_Gap708@reddit
I bought two and they are both phosphate and rough...
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I bought five for this promo. All five are phosphate BCG with bolt that may be NiB. I will do a retail review when I am done inspecting them and reply here. So far have on a chip missing from one rail on edge so the chips may not harm the receiver. Most have minor pitting on the bolt face. All the bores look good. The carrier finish is not as smooth as I would like but I have not oil it yet and the phosphate carrier is dry but the cams and bolts have oil on them. Ejector look okay but maybe not as flat as SOTAR would like to see. Ejectors protrude the right amount and will sit flush when press in. Cam fit properly in bolts.
TheMorningDove@reddit
Every time KAK runs one of these Blem BCG deals, I buy two of them. At this point I have quite a cool collection of extra KAK BCGs with the funny little themed marks on them. You just cannot beat this price. At all.
KAK: please send swag, I need stickers in my life!
MasterMichaelMin@reddit
Do they try to mix them up or have you ever gotten two of the same finishes?
CowboyHP@reddit
I ordered 2, got one Chrome and one NiB
flopanthers@reddit
Nope they only seems to send phosphate
MasterMichaelMin@reddit
Yup I got a chrome lined phosphate one.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I got a mix, 1 stainless, 2 phosphate, 2 NiB. I've seen a lot of comments from people who only got phosphate though.
Efficient-Engine9812@reddit
I've got 12+ lowers, does buying 5 make sense?
Antique_Item_3753@reddit

Way_2_Go_Donny@reddit

Received phosphate, chrome, and NiB. All came with nitride bolts and chrome bores except for the NiB. It had NiB bolt and NiB bore. It tested weak on the vertical gas ring seal test...don't know if that will affect actual function yet.
The phosphate has a weird finish...it's sparkly with some smooth blotches. It seemed to slide smooth in my BCM blem stripped upper and had similar tail play as my microbest bcg.
The chrome fit tight in the BCM blem stripped upper and would not fall freely when held vertical. It doesn't look bad, but there are a lot of machining marks visible.
The NiB is very slick and slides in the BCM blem stripped upper. It has the best finish, but I don't like the NiB bore (not chrome) and the weak gas seal tension in the bore.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I got 5 phosphate BCGs but they all came with NiB bolts I think base on color. The carriers all have a sparkly finish like you phosphate carrier. See my other reply for more feedback.

I think I got the worst blem - phosphate that looks like crap and feels rougher than JD Vance's beard. Color me disappointed.
pheen@reddit
Ordered on 4/2 and they arrived 4/6... pretty impressed they came that quick over a holiday weekend. I bought two and received a phosphate and a chrome.
flopanthers@reddit
I bought a blem and it felt and looked like sandpaper. The finish was so rough, didn’t even want to throw it in the gun. Waste of money. They prob only give you phosphate which is what I got.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Do the rails of the carrier also feel like sandpaper?
IntrospectiveApe@reddit
I got two blem down vent sand cutters a while back. When I was oiling one to put it in my upper, my nitrile glove ripped.
I went to look why and the edges of the sancutter are like little knives. If I had put it in my upper it would have shaved the shit out of the aluminum.
Had I researched these before I bought them, I would have noticed that many other people have had this problem.
QuasisteIlar@reddit
I just took the risk (I've had a KAK BCG with no issues) on a kspec blem. Got an FDE PVD finish. The bolt itself looks like it's NP3, though. Don't have any sharp edges that I can tell on the sandcutters. One of the sandcutter edges looks like it had a little too much taken off one of the edges, but no sharp burrs or anything that will be an issue when running my finger over them.
All in all looks like a pretty good value pickup.
Competitive_Use7847@reddit
Yep my kak sandcutter turned my new upper into a blem
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
SOTAR has mentioned this issue with some sandcutter BCG on his channel.
Vic_the_Dick@reddit
Funnily enough, the first run of KAC sand cutters exhibited the same problem. DS Arms has smoothest sand cuts I’ve seen; they utilize cuts similar to those on the FAL.
goyimtakesmyshekel@reddit

you are flipping a coin on getting a receiver destroyer here to save like 40 bucks over a microbest

agree, seen many user reports of upper receivers being damaged or killed by these
their industry account - which normally comments on every discussion about them - is nowhere to be found on those threads, except for one time i saw when it was to deny warranty
MiguelLancaster@reddit
I was gonna order one of these as a backup, but just because of this I think I'm gonna stick with Microbest
SRSix@reddit
just playing devil's advocate here as I don't really have a dog in this race, but many users are somewhat retarded.
100konmywristlifesux@reddit
agree but it's pretty hard to fuck up swapping a bcg lol
Muth4741@reddit
Was there issues in the past with the blems?
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I read reports on Reddit and probably elsewhere of issues even with some their non-blems. Some claim more issues with the down vent version. Most may be fine but not all according to reports. The only issue I ever read of regarding Microbest is a few years ago they released a batch that had rough matching that caused the rings to wear out much faster than normal.
Radiant_Eagle7634@reddit
Were the issues with strictly downvent version or the sandcutter downvent? IIRC, the sandcutters on some were quite literally cutting receivers due to burrs in the sandcutter machining.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
I updated my prior reply after your reply. Please see just a few examples I found. People claim more than one source of issues so it is not just the sandcutter version. I think SOTAR found an issue with the dual ejectors.
I avoid Nitride BCGs but some factory rifles I bought appear to have nitride finish. I am not sure there is problem with the 4 coatings in this offering from KAK. I need to view that video again.
1610925286@reddit
I keep seeing this parroted and this is probably one of the worst SOTAR videos in existence. The entire point of this video was, different finishes require different dimensions of BCG they are applied to. There is NOTHING the finish tells you. If your BCG is out of spec, it is out of spec. That can be because of the finish, or without any special finish.
Is the rainbow BCG more likely to be a saturday night special? Probably. Is LWRCs over decade old proven NiB BCG bad? No.
Frockington@reddit
Source?
Purple_Season_5136@reddit
Mine scratched the fuck outta my upper and he also refused to post my review. Fuuuuuck kak
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
So what did KAK do if anything? Did they at least replace the BCG if they would not replace the upper?
KAKindustry@reddit
If this is the guy who took a grinder to his carrier to "fix it", we offered to take a look at it, he said oops too late I sold the BCG and the whole upper and that it was gone the day after he got the bcg and had "sold it to someone".
He also admitted to physically altering the carrier by grinding it, he offered zero pictures or anything to corroborate the story and "no longer has the product".
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I have no stakes in this, but you're coming off pretty aggressive and making some misleading statements. He only altered it after it supposedly wrecked his receiver. The implication of your tone is that he is lying or being dishonest about something. I don't know if he is, but if I bought a cheap bcg with an obvious flaw, I could certainly see getting pissed off, trying to fix it poorly, then getting rid of it. It's not a crazy story and even the best BCGs have flaws, so I don't personally hear anything that's unbelievable. I just see a dealer attacking a customer on reddit. Maybe I'm missing something
Parabellum12@reddit
Regardless of if it’s before or after the receiver was damaged, what do you think expect a manufacturer to do with an altered product?
Purple_Season_5136@reddit
I fixed the burr myself and didnt even have it anymore by the time I commented on the next bcg post. He acted like I was a dumbass for fixing it myself and refused to acknowledge anything or post my review.
catalyst686@reddit
Aren’t you the guy who said you took your bcg to a belt grinder and then cried about it?
Purple_Season_5136@reddit
Lol It gets exaggerated worse everytime I bring it up 😂 it was a knife sharpening block that I used to FIX IT after it fucked my shit up.
arakboss@reddit
Which finish was on the offending BCG?
Purple_Season_5136@reddit
Chrome sand cut. All the sand cuts felt razor sharp as well but it had a slight dent on the leading edge of the carrier that didnt look like it, but it stuck out enough to take it down to bare aluminum.
AvatarWest45@reddit
I know it’s fun to talk shit without reading first, but that pertains to sandcutters with the serrations, these are standard carriers.
Techn028@reddit
Blemished =\= Out of spec. Are KAK selling out of spec bolt carriers?
TheRealSchifty@reddit
Even their regular BCGs aren't great, despite what the reddit hivemind likes to believe. Look up the SOTAR videos of the KAK BCGs that have come across his workbench. It doesn't inspire confidence.
FearsomeCubedWarrior@reddit
If we want to be completely fair, KAK learns from their mistakes: last downvent I've got from them did have fixes for issues mentioned in SOTAR year-old video (sharp edges allegedly damaging gas rings)
TheRealSchifty@reddit
I'm not just talking about that, he has other videos with KAK BCGs and has come across a litany of problems:
ejectors not stetting flush with the bolt face
undersized bolt face
bad ejector pins
bad extractor pins
oversized bores resulting in poor gas efficiency
leaking gas keys
bad machining practices
cheap springs
bad chrome plating
ecodick@reddit
I ordered a microbest lux blem yesterday, thanks for making me feel like I'm not missing out here
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
At one time SOTAR offered a service where anyone could send them their BCG for inspection for a few. Those with trouble free rifles with KAK BCG would not be likely to send in their BCG. But I agree just from reports on reddit that KAK BCG quality control is likely below the standard of Microbest, Tool Craft and AO Precision.
Huge-Two-3358@reddit
Who made your upper I have a kak BCG on a ddm4v7 no issues with scratching
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
The KAK sandcuts may be out of spec on some KAK BCGs. SOTAR discusses out of spec sandcuts in one video I think. You may not have a KAK with sandcuts or they may be in spec.
Reports of no trouble just mean KAK can make a good BCG. A few reports of issues may just mean KAK QC is not as good as the QC at others like Microbest, Toolcraft, AO Precision, BCM, or Geissele.
DragonfruitSucks87@reddit
I too like to make shit up
Silentmathematics@reddit
From the product page:
“The plating or machining on the carrier wasn't up to our standards and these are being sold at a substantial discount as a complete BCG
Blems include staining of the finish or small marks from arcing during plating. None will effect function and all are cosmetic”
Due to the nature of this product all sales are final - these are perfectly functional BCG's and operation/ functionality is not compromised.

In for 4. $233 shipped is a great deal.
Forgot to try and add the "EASTER" code at checkout. Anyone tried to see if the deals stack?
manfredwader@reddit
How do you pick the color?
No_Leg6630@reddit
You don’t.
manfredwader@reddit
Ah, Dealers Choice. I get it now haha.
big_guwop_1017soicy@reddit
Shit, so it's been a minute since I built a rifle all from scratch... need some help here.
I was lucky enough to get one of the KAK blem lowers before they sold out. I am looking to build a 300 BLK SBR.
One of these, or wait for a Toolcraft/Microbest blem? Additionally, what are the best options you could get out of this grab bag? The coatings and different options all look chinese to me.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
All the coatings/finishes are fine as long at the coating does not affect dimensions negatively. The other important point is the the three bore be smooth and not rough. This is regardless of the coating/finish. Also make sure there are no burrs or other sharp edges that may damage the receiver. These are not sandcutter BCGs so there is no risk of having sharp edges on that area of the BCG. The phosphate may the one most likely to be dimensionally correct but it requires a little more work to clean . Just soak in in a degreaser to make it easier. Other coatings may allow one to just wipe them off with a rag with some cleaner.
I would prefer a chrome BCG but I ordered more than one so at most I will receive just one chrome BCG. Many manufactures of NiB BCG have failed to get the dimensions correct according to SOTAR. If I get one and it is dimensionally correct then I will be okay with it.
If you are concerned then just get a chrome Microbest for $110 as often posted in this subreddit. If you want to same some money on your build then buy one of the KAK BCGs.
If the bolts are as pictured then they appear to
See my other reply for link to SOTAR video on coatings and issues with some.
No-Phrase-669@reddit
Never used KAK BCG. But in for 1 on this deal.
Obsidizyn@reddit
"Unfortunately one or more items in your cart can't be shipped to your location. Please choose a different delivery address." Wont ship a BCG to Colorado? What in the actually fuck
BabyBackFriedFish@reddit
Had no issue shipping to CO for me
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
So if one does get a defective BCG will KAK exchange it for a good one or are they SOL?
KAKindustry@reddit
Blem BCGs hold the same full warranty as our normal BCGs.
modal_enigma@reddit
Thanks for this. If there’s one thing I’ve learned starting a retail-facing business, the loudest people are often just the worst kind of people.
Most of the time, if you’re a reasonable person, most small businesses want to do right by their customer.
Purchased a down vent and a one of these blems. Never hurts to have a bcg or two around. My safe somehow magically spawns uppers from parts.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Thank you for the reply.
I decided to get out of my comfort zone and placed an order.
I will do a full inspection of the ones I ordered and will follow-up here.
high_hopes13@reddit
Can any lefties chime in on gas reduction w/ the down vent?
Whole-Porcupine@reddit
Nooo! I missed the Yukon Cornelius down vent blems! I need a Yukon Cornelius BCG in my life!
Sasselhoff@reddit
Eh, in for one. Hope that the reports I've seen of them having problems won't be present on mine...but until this post, I'd not seen people saying anything, so I figure it's a good risk.
comradechris451@reddit
I add to cart and enter my shipping address and I get the message "Unfortunately one or more items in your cart can't be shipped to your location. Please choose a different delivery address". I've ordered here before with my account so it's pretty confusing. u/KAKindustry any advice before these go out of stock?
KAKindustry@reddit
You would want to reach out to customer service.
NuclearKFC@reddit
Are these cosmetic blems or do they affect function. I want some extras
_Parmesan_Cheese_@reddit (OP)
Website says: "Blems include staining of the finish or small marks from arcing during plating. None will effect function and all are cosmetic."
Active-Bill7788@reddit
Grabbed 2, bangin deal. Thanks OP
Legitimate-Simple-98@reddit
Bought a 11.5" PSA upper and tossed in a BCG I got from a "Freedom" upper. Assuming no brainer upgrade for my 11.5?
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I think in general the advice is, regardless of brand, if your bcg is working and not causing issues, keep running it. You won't gain anything if your bcg is working fine. This is a good price to have one as a backup though.
Legitimate-Simple-98@reddit
Yeah I have been having zero issues with my PSA BCG, but long term wise this KAK should hold up a lot better. The main negative with the PSA BCG I have is the gas rings going bad pretty quickly, but I can just replace the gas rings.
Another thing, range toy, no issues with a PSA BCG. But if its something I am going to potentially defend my life with I would think most people would feel better with this KAK.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
What brand of replacement rings do you use?
A rough bore is likely the cause of the short ring life. Microbest even put out a patch with rough bores years ago that wore out rings quickly.
Legitimate-Simple-98@reddit
I honestly have never changed them. I have just seen a lot of videos and people posting about them failing relatively early in life so I am expecting that to happen with mine. Again this is one of their cheapy BCGs, not one of their more expensive ones.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Having a spare set of rings, firing pin, cam pin, and firing pin retaining pin would be the minimum I would have on hand. You can buy the parts individually or in a rehab kit. Some are more complete and include various extractor and ejector parts. I bought rings and springs from Sprinco as I wanted to buy parts that are known to be good if I am trying to fix a BCG. I would just look some of these parts to add to next online order. AR15Discounts has good prices on Sprinco springs.
RegardedDipshit@reddit
I don't have any experience with KAK BCGs so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but in my mind KAK/PSA BCGs would be on par. Not sure which one you have, but in general PSA BCGs don't have a bad reputation. Regardless, if I am picking a BCG in a gun that I'm likely to reach for in a self defense situation, it's going to be Microbest every time.
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
But keep an eye out for wear on the cam pin and bolt lugs.
YouveGotNothingToSay@reddit
Sweet, just ordered one. Trying to turn my extreme budget AR into a regular budget AR
jdgsr@reddit
Needed an extra, snagged one!
pizzapizzafrenchfry@reddit
For anyone wanting to know I just sent one back to them that was a 2nd hand blem I bought.
Cody did a good job checking to make sure it was in spec and we ruled the BCG out of being the issue.
I just grabbed 2 more.
Wheres_my_wank_sock@reddit
Grabbed 3. No idea why. Don't need them in any way. I think push come to shove I've got enough parts to throw 1 or 2 more ARs together.
maboden14@reddit
Same. Kinda need one, got three.
Salty-Biskts@reddit
Ordered a blem DV BCG and a 11.5 SO barrel! Excited to see how this goes, can I please get a good BLEM finish! Pleaseeeeeeeeee KAK❤️
servosec@reddit
Does anyone know if the ar10 kspec dual ejector bolt will work in a PSA Sabre 10?
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
KAK hurry up and do another run of AR10 Downvents >_<
lordpunchy@reddit
Me with half of their inventory
CowboyHP@reddit
In for 2. At this price, they are basically half the price of a sorted Microbest blem so worth a shot. I’ll use them in a range gun and see how they hold up before committing them to a nicer build.

Says side vent so what does that mean?
i_am_replaceable@reddit
Normal bcg, they have down vent options that blow gas down into the magwell for less gas to face when shooting suppressed. I prefer these anyway
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
Some say down vent reduces gas to the face while others say it makes little difference but may make the mag dirty quickly and reduce reliability of feeding from the mag. Hop did a video review on his YouTube channel. Some claim the side vent KAK BCGs are more reliable than their down vent BCGs.
Berry_Micockiner@reddit

are these phosphate only?
onlybanana@reddit
I wonder what KAK did with all their blems before they started doing these blem sales.
andrewkpt@reddit
In for 1 ... Extra is never bad plus it's a cheap deal unless your going to cry about shipping 👀
Huge-Two-3358@reddit
If this is anything like the last blems mine has been absolutely perfect probably 1k rounds on it now at least
ban-one77@reddit
Only way to tell was the engraved turkey on my Kak. Was hoping for anything but phosphate but even at that price, quality chrome lined is hard to beat.
RyAllDaddy69@reddit
Phosphate is excellent!
Old_MI_Runner@reddit
$9.99 flat rate shipping
Clifton1979@reddit
My blem beaver was well worth it. $75 shipped for a BCG can't pass it up.
