It's kind of odd UK is so vulnerable, I mean UK is the dream land for wind power, it also has a decent nuclear power generation sector ( they keep botching nuclear power plant construction with retarded customizations though... ), its transportation sector is mature, the EU fuel efficiency directives still apply and it has a lot of harbors and inland channels ... all the above advantages mean they are very efficient on oil/gas usage ...

The effects of her reign are still felt to this day, especially in the North of England and ex industrial towns, and the UK now basically makes nothing except race cars and vacuum cleaners with faces on them.
