This is actually part of a series of shooting drill videos of Xi'an's SWAT officers posted by the Xi'an PD on weibo; I might make a compilation of them and post it in the future.
It's very rare to see NP22 in actual service in china nowadays since it lost to the QSZ-92G in trials and it itself is aimed for the export market; In the same series, the NP22's training variant also appears so I assume only the NP22's training variant is used by chinese police nowadays; for most purposes the QSZ-92G is far more common than the NP22.(video if you want)
I also assume in an actual scenario the QSZ-92G would be used instead of the NP22.

US Police: write that down, write that down!
Special-Trainer7777@reddit
They should start giving US police reaper drones armed with hellfire missiles tbh. Would help a lot

Imagine the economy boost, I think you found the solution to many problems at once.
EasyRhino75@reddit
Man just imagine this in the hands of your
TacticalSpackle@reddit
Yes, 911? I need help with my mentally ill friend. Do you hve therapists available to send?
I’m sorry sir, best we can do is send someone in worse mental health with a ~~gun~~ flying gun.
EasyRhino75@reddit
Best I can do is a murder bot
Batchet@reddit
"my friend is off his meds and flipping out, is there anyone trained that can navigate complex mental issues?"
"No, but you should see him navigate our streets with limited vision using a flying gun."
"What happens if there's a malfunction?"
"Free gun for whoever is down below? I dunno, you think they pay me enough for a game of 20 questions?"

I live in Acorn Cop's district man, hell naw

US C&BP has MQ-1
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_MQ-1_Predator#Former_operators
Zigong police in sichuan province have Wing-Loong II
https://www.reddit.com/r/policeporn/comments/1p6dcn2/a_wingloong_ii_uav_used_by_the_zigongcity_in/
it's unarmed though and is mostly for manhunts and disaster relief
salty_drafter@reddit
How hard would it be to arm it though?
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
PLAAF version is armed, and the export variant is armed
idk though but likely not that difficult
Special-Trainer7777@reddit
Unarmed? Smh no wonder we have dudes like this roaming the streets
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
meh in china typically the CCTV cameras do their job instead
the drones are for when the thieves escape into the mountains
Flashy_Drummer6664@reddit
Don't give them ideas... 😂
DarkKnightTazze@reddit
This is what I think of when I see this
MichaelEmouse@reddit
Something smart from that show, I didn't expect that.
Make it big enough to carry a belt-fed rifle and a laser and this could be useful.
youreblockingmyshot@reddit
If the police can manage so can criminals. Expect drive by drone robberies within the decade.
Sekret1991@reddit
The world is not ready. We really have no clue how bad it can be. Ship a drone across the country in a generic box. Delivery got leaves or on a porch. Out pops a drone connected by a hacked starlink account. The pilot could be in another country. Who do you even charge? What could a celebrity or politician's bodyguard even do?
trustfundkidotaku@reddit
Shouldn’t a taser work better ?
Noobit2@reddit
No because they would still be alive afterwards. You know how hard it is to tase someone to death? Bullet is way quicker.
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
If they need less lethal they wouldn't even send in a drone
from training videos i've seen it's for stuff like active shooters and hostage scenarios
it's like telling a sniper to fire beanbag rounds
Plump_Apparatus@reddit
That's only because none of the manufacturers have figured out that they need to make not only a high voltage, but a high current taser gun. Way more likely to kill people. Idiots.
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
I assume this is for scenarios where lethal force is needed
keep in mind the pistol used is a training variant
Kvenner001@reddit
Depends on the slack in the line. If it gets caught or pulled the drone might crash.
Antezscar@reddit
And give it AI targeting and you have a Wasp from Arc Raiders
Desperate_Set_7708@reddit
Nothing shitty about this.
Revolutionary-Wash88@reddit
Looks scary af, gonna go cover my windows
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
I assume it's for hostage scenarios not normal raids
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
check the sub name
WhiteRaven42@reddit
Doesn't look like a very good place to be testing a flying gun. Where are the strays going to end up?
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
these are training rounds not live rounds
pistol itself is a training pistol
WhiteRaven42@reddit
Can you explain what a training round is? I checked the info on the pistol... it's a fully functioning firearm.
The thing popped the balloon from a range of 30 or 40 feet so it's firing something.
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
NP22 is a normal firearm, this is a training variant
according to the text on the box it shoots red paint
Roland_was_a_warrior@reddit
It’s a scored plastic projectile with a little bit of paint inside. When it hits something, the plastic opens like a little flower and splats the paint on the target. They’re not very powerful, but they might damage an eyeball.
WrinkledCrime@reddit
I assume they fire a plastic or rubber projectile instead of lead. You can see the rounds are bright orange, definitely not a real bullet in there.
CyberSoldat21@reddit
Use a P320 and it’s just another FPV
Gravix202@reddit
Interesting! Looks like pro gamers have a chance to be tomorrows elite swat teams lol.
See how much his controller moved when he pulled the trigger? Just like with a real firearm, pulling the trigger could accidently move you off target. Might need to either reduce the force to pull it or map it to a different button.
YEET_NET@reddit
What
supersonicflyby@reddit
Swap in a P320 and you don't even have to pull the trigger!
mcd3424@reddit
Just wait until these things start flying around with a small automatic weapon loaded in 22lr
Key-Needleworker-702@reddit (OP)
I think changchun SWAT team has a larger one with QBZ-95
though typically police drones in china don't have anything more than a loudspeaker and thermal camera
