Why is Krafstar one of the cloaked figures in "Hate is the Star"?

I know that Alti wasn't created until season 4 but I always thought that she would be one of the cloaked figures during the Hate is the Star instead of Krafstar

In DELIVERER, Krafstar says Dahok "appreciates hate." He taunts Xena, saying her hatred of Caesar was the catalyst that brought Gabs to Brittania, where Gabs loses her blood innocence by killing to protect Krafstar. I always thought it interesting that, at the beginning of the ep, X&G banter about big things being a collection of small ones -- like a mountain just "a bunch of boulders" -- or a rock simply "a large grain of sand."
In BITTER SUITE, the spooky voice for "Hate Is The Star" sings, "It begins very small,/Seems like nothing much at all./Just a germ, just a speck, just a grain./But the seed has been sewn,/And before you know it's grown,/It has spread through you life like a stain./And its power will strangle your love and your joy./And its hunger consumes -- for it lives to destroy.

Excellent comparison. I always thought it was a joke about Chaos Theory and fractals.

Yes! Just kidding. Don't have a clue about that, but you could be on to something. You never know, with DELIVERER writer Steve Sears. He also did "rock still under there" ep DREAMWORKER. I still have physics on my bucket list, mainly because of parallels to philosophical themes. I actually thought the banter strange, until the "Hate Is The Star" ditty in BS, co-written by Sears. Lots of fundamental Canon, continuity and subtle references to various fields of interest in his eps.

See? Good thinking and definitely philosophy.

That scene had them literally back in Dahak's temple where Gabrielle was laying on a sacrificial altar, which is where Krafstar originally ensnared her. It would be daft if he wasn't there.
Krafstar represents Dahak, the birth of Hope, the loss of Gabrielle's blood innocence, and the beginning of the Rift.

We weren't introduced to Alti until Adventures In the Sin Trade so if Alti had been a part of Bitter Suite, none of us would have known who she was because there had been no mention of her at all at that point so that may have been one of the other reasons that she was not included in the story line. Also all the characters featured in Hate Is the Star had all hurt both Xena and Gabrielle in some way so they both hated all 4 of them. Gabrielle had no reason to hate Alti had this point because she had yet to encounter her at the time that Bitter Suite took place.

Xena and Gab are caught up in their most traumatic moments: Xena's crucifixion and Gab's ritual sacrifice. Caesar and Khrafstar caused them so they're there with Cal and Ares. And I think it goes without saying that Gab hates him for deceiving her, preying on her goodwill and then delivering her up to rape and deprived of a normal motherhood.

This. Why wouldn't he be there? The dude literally got her raped. Alti could be there but he should be there right along side Callisto for them both
