Has anyone made a career change that nobody understood but you knew was right for you?

I live in a seaside town with many holiday makers at a big camp which is where the shop is. So I make a variety of things with a coastal theme, mainly because I just like trying all different types of making. So I sew makeup bags, glasses cases and a few other bits. Mosaic ( beach huts and coasters) bit of beaded jewellery, little houses on driftwood, mobiles/garlands to hang up.Bit of lino printing. I did 3d design at college, so it's great as it allows me to indulge myself a bit making stuff, anything that sells well gets a repeat spot. It doesn't make me a huge wage earning amount, but it buys a few nice things or tickets, or last year it helped me fund the stuff my daughter needed to move to uni. I'm in with a lovely bunch too , so I've made friends as well
