I’ve got deep 20s (don’t judge) I could probably even rig up a flush mounting.

Only downside would be unsprung weight.

All of this sounds like something Clarkson would cook up in a shed on a TG/TGT road trip

I've seen a few overlanders just put washing in a water tight drum on the roof rack or in the back and the jiggling around on the road does the work for you.
