Look how better this building in Durrës looks with a warmer coat of paint and changing the weird addition on top to look like the rest of the building. I used AI but why don’t cities do this? Its not that expensive…

warmer color = yellow I added Italian blinds because all the windows had different styles and colours

It looked better before. It just needed some refreshing.

True, apart from the weird thing on the top.

I like the yellow/green better than the beige/grey from before, but white walls and blue paint or dark wood for the blinds would also work well.

The older looks more classic. New one looks too bright and flashy for my liking tbh.

New one looks more Mediterranean, which can look nice depending on surroundings (that's why I also suggested white walls with colored blinds).

New one looks Cuban, not Mediterranean. I've only seen that yellow + green combo in Havana, not in the Mediterranean.

Meh, not sure if it's better but it's ok.

I like the unedited version more - it looks more authentic Albanian. 🥹

so authentic albanian is poor and old, got it

First one looks bad, like an unfinished building. Second one that you did, looks much better. Would be nice if the government in Albania would fucking set some rules on how stuff can and should look. But that's asking for too much.

i dont understand why albanians say the first onelooks better, i didn’t change the architecture, i just painted the walls yellow (a warmer colour better suit for Durres, Durres is a Mediterranean city after all) and made all the window blinds the same colour/style.

Well, if you drive around Albania, you will say thst most of our buildings are 4 walls and a roof, there's no essence in what we build, just whatever it's cheaper. I guess some people got so used to that, that they think it's beautiful.

yeah but i dont understand why according to the comments chaotic, poor maintained building = authentic albanian

Stuff like this is the wet dream of a lot of people over here. I actually do wish Turkey put more effort into restoration and conservation projects, and to be honest, there has been good work done in a lot of old towns. The issue here are more those ugly ass high rise apartments in gated communities.

I thought Istanbul looked really nice overall, it reminds me a lot of Thessaloniki/Athens but much nicer. Your lack of balconies on every building makes it look much more aesthetic than ours.

lol I live in Athens and it’s definitely like Istanbul/Izmir/Antalya. I actually love that every building has balconies!

Man, these people haven't figured out the point of a shower curtain yet, and you're trying to pitch a 'high-tech' concept like a nice, standard facade

Before is better.

Meh. The blinds are dark/black - painting the walls white will probably look better(would give a good contrast between walls and blinds, present a very clean and pleasant aesthetic and also help manage street heat by reflecting some of the rays back).

I like the before better, why would i want my building to look like piss and vomit ?

grey looks depressing

Where is the grey? Look at all the colors, it's kinda nice

I wasn't sure because I'm colorblind but this palette can really be called piss&vomit.
