Hey America, do you think Nathan Milliron is going to face any consequences for his actions?
Posted by Physical_Comment_559@reddit | AskAnAmerican | View on Reddit | 238 comments
Just saw his recent viral video and it’s quite disturbing. And he’s a judge!
Asking for an American perspective as a non-American, how likely is he to face consequences?
turkey_sandwich29@reddit
He is going to end up with consequences. A defense attorney emailed him to criticize his actions, and the judge accused him of sending an ex parte and ordered him to COME TO COURT TO DISCUSS HIS EMAIL.
InternationalBed5000@reddit
Like every other corrupt system, he probably won’t face any consequences. He should be fired. He’s got at least 70 thousand dollars of debt behind his name.
PeaTasty9184@reddit
Who?
Jedimobslayer@reddit
The judge also ordered a bench warrant on a guy for not appearing in court, the important part of that is the guy asked his lawyer to set up an emergency hearing on his behalf, one he did not intend himself to be there for. The judge also tried to order a bench warrant on an advocacy group for simply disagreeing with a ruling of his.

Why don’t you stay silent, hippo.
PerspectiveActive768@reddit
That behavior was unnecessary, put not punishable. However, ordering counsel to appear in his court as a result of not liking the attorney's free speech is beyond his legal scope.
SarahC@reddit
It's behaviour not becoming of a Judge and certainly is punishable.
PerspectiveActive768@reddit
He is an elected judge. Punishment is more challenging.
ContourNova@reddit
this is not his only or first incident by any means.
slothsareok@reddit
He’s an elected official. Vote him the fuck out. The whole point of the judicial process is to handle things in a proper orderly manner and “jackass” is not even one bit of a quality you want in a judge. I experienced some shit with some southern judges before myself. It’s an abuse of power. It’s not anybody else’s fault this dumbass can’t work out a technical issue
luvrhino@reddit
I do think he's highly unlikely to be re-elected since he's a Republican. Harris County is definitely blue as a whole, however the country shifted red in 2024 and he very narrowly won.
He was also against an unqualified Democratic incumbent, Elaine Palmer, whom many Democrats correctly hated. She originally won her seat while running a homophobic campaign against a popular incumbent, Steve Kirkland, while financed by Republicans. I don't know why no one ran against her in the 2024 primary.
Regardless, I anticipate that voters in 2028 will respond similarly to 2020 and shift more Democratic than normal. This public shaming may cause him to be primaried were he to try to run in 2028. Again, that shouldn't matter in November.
MavsTurnedBucksGuy@reddit
No one ran against her in the primary because the Houston Democratic Party has a massive identity politics problem. There’s a boss babe attitude that runs around. They don’t care about diversity at all. They hardly care about Democrats. They’ll go after LGBTQ men, white women, Hispanic men, etc. All good qualified Democratic candidates that have been run against by the certain narrow kind of women that they want to be on the bench. It’s why Dedra Davis is still on the bench despite objectively being one of the worst judges in Texas history.
gratefulpred@reddit
Do they identify in the wrong way? 😂
MavsTurnedBucksGuy@reddit
Idk what you mean but their issue isn’t what they identify as, it’s that the show massive priority and favoritism to that identity to the exclusion of other identities and to the point of pushing extremely poor candidates over very good ones.
gratefulpred@reddit
Sounds like a serious problem y’all should figure out 😂
reggie2319@reddit

It's more than that. There have been two more videos that have come out where he threatened to arrest an attorney because she corrected him on a case. And he has now sanctioned another attorney for criticizing him and asking him to apologize to the IT employee in an email.
"I hope you issued him an apology for how you treated him. I hope you were just having a bad day and this is not your typical judicial temperament," Stafford wrote in the email to Million. Judge Million responded by ordering Stafford to appear in his court on April 9, claiming the attorney was communicating "ex parte."
Ex parte is a legal term for when someone communicates with a judge in a pending case without the other parties being aware, which is generally prohibited.
Stafford replied to the judge, stating that he has no cases before him, so the initial email would not be considered ex parte.
"Judge, I have no cases in your Court, thus this is not ex parte but merely a voter exercising one's freedom of speech concerning what some would consider offensive decorum in your courtroom," Stafford's email to Milliron read.

Thought the same thing. Dudes clearly a total douche, but that's not illegal. We don't have the jail capacity for that.

Substantial-Rise-345@reddit
He tried to accuse a Texas citizen and lawyer of ex parte communications and tried to unlawfully demand him show up in his courtroom simply bc the Texas lawyer emailed him and said that he hoped the judge apologized bc it is a bad look on the legal system and community. Sure being a dick isn't illegal but judges have codes of ethics FOR A REASON.
Available_League_914@reddit
Its a crime to waste public resources, calling someone to appear in court because your feelings are hurt isnt free for the community
oldnewager@reddit
How much does it cost to run a courts case? If I were running against him next cycle you can bet I’d make it known that I was tallying all the extraneous cases in his court, especially those that simply hurt his feelings. “If you want a snowflake judge that uses his position to intimidate anyone with common southern decency, Nathan Milliron is your guy. If you’d like a judge that treats the court as an extension of the public’s will, vote for x”. But I’m a dumb wildlife manager, not a lawyer, and certainly not a PR genius.
CompetitiveEmployer4@reddit

shonasof@reddit
nothing to do with it being a crime. It's an embarassment to the office and position that he holds and he should face job-related consequences. As would anyone being a complete ass to colleagues who are just doing their jobs.
KaiSaya117@reddit
Have you BEEN in a worksite? I've seen PLENTY of this exact kind of behavior from not even the highest parts of several businesses

It’s not just violations of law a judge can face consequences for. There are professional and ethical standards for judges and lawyers, including regarding professional behavior in court, and they can face disciplinary action for violating or failing to uphold those standards.
That being said, this judge is an elected judge, and as such, isn’t subject to disciplinary action from local court administrators like appointed judges are. But he may face consequences from voters when next up for re-election.
It seems this incident wasn’t a one-off. Another video surfaced of him berating an attorney appearing before him, kicking her out of the courtroom, and threatening to have her cuffed – for no good reason. Hopefully, voters will recall he lacks the temperament to be on the bench when he’s up for re-election. If he has an opponent, I’m sure they’ll refresh voters’ memory.

“Judges shall be patient, dignified and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, and others with whom the judge deals in an official capacity, and should require similar conduct of lawyers, and of staff, court officials and others subject to the judge’s direction and control.” Texas Code of Judicial Conduct Canon 3 B(4). I think his actions run far enough afoul of this Canon to warrant an admonishment.
SiriocazTheII@reddit
There are two more videos of him floating around with the same arrogant attitude, it's obvious he needs a good scold.
minimalmike301@reddit
yeah he’s only been a judge for just over a year and there’s at least 5 different videos of him with a baby temper
ContourNova@reddit
no way he’s this arrogant and he’s new on the bench.
Herdistheword@reddit
It is more than that now. A local lawyer e-mailed him and told him he should apologize to the IT guy. The judge summoned the lawyer to his court to discuss an ex parte violation, however the lawyer is not a party to any case in the judge’s courtroom. The judge also has at least 2-3 other e-mails berating staff. He began hi service on the bench in 2025. There is already a pattern of him abusing his authority and demeaning court staff. It is Texas, so don’t expect much accountability, but hopefully the guy is voted out next election or recalled. Guys like him should not be deciding life altering decisions for other people.
h974974@reddit

This judge is power tripping to the max. Trying to get that attorney to appear in court over an email. Obviously he just wanted him there so he could yell at him and who knows maybe even arrest him.
InteractionStunning8@reddit
Except he's now abusing his authority against a local attorney as well so maybe! Plus I guess he's already under an ethics investigation for something with campaign funds (minor thing but still)
MSPCSchertzer@reddit
Disagree, I am willing to bet his court will be poorly run and he will resign in disgrace. This has happened before in Houston, the rest of the Judges had to pick up the slack and were pissed. It was a Judge named Denise Pratt and she was so horrible and incompetent she wound up back dating court orders and then resigned with no notice, thereby throwing the whole Harris County district court system in chaos.
Rac3318@reddit
It’s gotten a bit worse since then. It’s honestly amazing how deep this guy has dug a hole in less than a week.
He had another incident with two attorneys on opposing sides of a case who were very confused by his confusion and then he threatened to hold them in contempt and have them in handcuffs.
On top of that, he ordered another attorney to appear in front of him next month for an ex parte communication. The attorney emailed asking the judge to apologize to the IT worker. The attorney then had to tell the judge that he has no cases in front of him. The local attorney association has publicly stated that they will be present at that attorney’s hearing.
No complaints have been filed yet but the judge’s commission are aware of it.

I love that we’re ok with this judge wanting to go to the IT guys boss because the judge is tech illiterate.
revengeappendage@reddit
Have you ever had a job? It’s not great, but sheesh he didn’t punt a guy’s baby or something.
anonymousphoenician@reddit
He demanded the guys Supervisor. He went after his job.
Luckily they recently released a statement that the employee will not face any kind of action whatsoever.
SashaBanks2020@reddit
Isn’t this what you’re supposed to do when you’re unhappy with your service?
BostonBroke1@reddit
What service do the IT guy not provide? The judge wasted his time and called him in with there was nothing wrong and then berated him about it.’
SashaBanks2020@reddit
The service from the IT guy is irrelevant to whether the judge can ask for a supervisor.
I’m a paralegal. If any attorney, client, or judge wants to speak to my supervisor, they’re welcome to. My supervisor is the one who knows my procedures and if I followed them. She can decide if I fucked up, just need some coaching, or did nothing wrong.
I just don’t understand the pearl clutching just because a customer asked to speak to a supervisor.
With all that said, the IT guy could use a little bit of coaching.
These hearing are booked months in advance, and there’s always an equally important hearing right after. If you’re hearing is from 2-3, you better be done by 3, because the judge needs to hop to the next one.
Whatever is happening at these hearings is probably the most important thing in those people’s lives at the moment. No one wants to have be rescheduled 3 months down the road, because the judges microphone wasn’t working, or because the previous hearing went long.
Tech issues in hearings are infuriating for everyone involved, and they’re also expensive. My attrition bills at $425 an hour. If he’s at the courthouse waiting for the judge to get his mic working, he’s billing for that time. If it gets rescheduled, he’s billing for both days.
Look, the judge was an asshole, but also, the IT coming in and saying “false alarm” with a chuckle was not the vibe for that moment.
If I was the supervisor I would tell the guy:
ContourNova@reddit
are you playing devil’s advocate? what was there to be unhappy about?
SashaBanks2020@reddit
I’m not commenting on the service. I think the judge was out of line talking to him like that and should apologize for losing his composure, but asking for a supervisor is not the problem.
If someone is unhappy with the service received by a worker, the appropriate response is to ask to speak to a supervisor.
I was a bartender manager for years. If someone was unhappy with the service, I wanted them to come to me. Don’t tell at the employee. Let me know and and I can decide if coaching is needed or not, if the person followed procedures, etc.
Obviously, very often, the complainer is just an asshole. That’s fine. Let the supervisor make that determination.
Asking for a supervisor is not “going after his job” like the previous commenter said.
It
ContourNova@reddit
i think that goes without saying. we know what his intention was with asking for the supervisor though… which matters, does it not?
SashaBanks2020@reddit
You’re welcome to think he’s an asshole.
But he didn’t hold the dude in contempt or send the bailiff after him. It’s not an abuse of power or authority.
He didn’t like something the guy did/said. He’s welcome to bring it to attention if the manager whether he’s right or not. The manager makes the decision. That’s the system working as intended.
anonymousphoenician@reddit
There was absolutely nothing to be unhappy about. He flipped out over a harmless joke that was more about the situation not being difficult that he decided to take personal. He created the issue. Not to mention that as a Judge he shouldnt be bitching about having to deal with people.
Hes power tripping. Wanting to speak to his supervisor over that is a Karen move. And he didnt face even the slightest discipline because even his bosses knew he didnt do anything wrong.
SashaBanks2020@reddit
Agreed.
Sure.
I guess it’s a good thing the judge asked to speak to the supervisor. This is how it’s supposed to work.

Going over someone’s head to contact a supervisor and put a complaint in, when all the guy did was try to bring some levity to a minor inconvenience this judge was dealing with due to his own technical deficiencies, is just a scumbag and deserves to be publicly shamed for it.
Having this go viral is the best punishment possible bc it knocks this guy off the high horse he rides around on for most likely decades at this point
Physical_Comment_559@reddit (OP)
But the world saw it tho. Like his behaviour is unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional especially given his profession as a judge.
DeniseReades@reddit
This is actually the first American, in like 50 years, to have unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional behavior displayed on the world stage and, as such, is actually a huge deal that we're all very concerned about. There is nothing else worrisome going on so all 350 million of us are going to focus on this one guy.
We may even tag in the Canadians and the Brits to be concerned with us about this, the first American to do something disreputable with the eyes of the world watching, in 50+ years.
Wonderful_Custard_94@reddit
Hey thanks for tagging Canadians, im all for it and like being tagged. He's an asshole. Small dick energy. Should never ever hold any position of power. And yet... well you know, the big boss of the usa pretty much gave a free pass to eveyone to act like an asshole while normalizing it. So yeah, its not surprising. You get what you deserve they say. But yeah, even small judges from small nowhere hamlet should be shamed for being assholes, even if bigger fish are being bigger assholes eveywhere.

I’ll say it again, He is a human person who got snippy with a coworker. It’s hardly a scandal worthy of consequences.
anonymousphoenician@reddit
He tried to get IT guys job. He also made a comment about dealing with people.
He demanded an attorney be removed after he wouldnt give them a thought and even told them he was wasting his time. He then made another comment about having to deal with people.
A former Judge and now a lawyer emailed him about his behavior, and said he hoped he had apologized to the IT guy. The judge then demanded that lawyer appear in court for contacting him "outside of a case without the other legal party knowing" when this lawyer never had a case with him. So not only is he not competent enough to know what legal threats hes issuing he yet again proves he cant handle dealing with people.
Hes not fit to be a judge.
Physical_Comment_559@reddit (OP)

He's up for re-election in November of 2028. You have 2 years to build up a library of videos saying why you believe he shouldn't be re-elected, and a plethora of publicly available footage to back it up.
If you don't take payment or pay someone else to make the videos, you aren't running into any campaign finance laws; you're just stating your opinion. Repeatedly. Starting 30 days from the election, with a 30-day backlog of scheduled videos that month.
You'll make the news. Two years of work will make you famous.

As a legal professional myself, he’s a disgrace to the bench. He’s power tripping. There is a whole lot more than that he has done. When filing lawsuits here in Texas we try to avoid District court because we don’t want to deal with this arrogant, out of control, power tripping a**h0le again. I am paralegal, and on occasion I do attend hearings and trials to assist my boss. It’s been a couple of months ago, but I was in the courtroom with my boss, waiting on being called for our docket. They were wrapping up a proceeding prior to ours where he started yelling at counsel on a case different then ours, who came before him to have a simple hearing on a motion where both parties present documentation. He allowed one attorney for the opposing party to present evidence, but would not allow the female attorney to speak or submit their client’s documentation in support of the motion. He was yelling and spitting while yelling, standing, and out of control. He had the female attorney arrested and dragged from the courtroom in handcuffs. I have never seen any such behavior from a judge in all my life. He was unprofessional, full of rage, and obviously has anger issues. He has no place being on the bench. He does not know how to behave himself or be unbiased. When we left from our motion, my boss was scared to speak up. When we were called he was equally rude and said the woman ejected from his court room is to be used as an example of what he will not tolerate. The whole point of us being there was to present argument in support of why defendants motion for summary judgment should be denied. He was extremely rude. When we got back to the office, my boss turned around and filed a complaint with the state judiciary commission as to what we witnessed in the courtroom and I had to do to prepare and sign affidavit because I was there with our client and the attorney and opposing counsel. So I could tell you right now he’s a piece of work. He has no business being on the bench at all. And I have been doing this for 40 years. I have never seen such an asshole all my life on a power trip.
ktb0215@reddit
I looked at his Facebook page the other day. He is definitely a piece of work and unapologetically so, which is even worse. Like he knows he’s out of line, but feels like he is invincible. He’s disgusting.
Inevitable_Review_83@reddit
Looks like hes been catching guff in the court of public opinion. His FB profile was public and listed now seems to be taken down.
stripesnstripes@reddit
If I’m running against him, I just run a tv ad with that interaction.
goochlove@reddit
I've been watching a lot of his trials that are online. He's a piece of work with a horrible attitude and resentment towards the public. To the people saying "WeLL ItS NoT a CrIMe", it goes beyond what's lawful. The court room is supposed to be sanctified place, without the strict code of ethics clowns like this will turn it into a circus. The decorum and attitude displayed is reprehensible. The judicial system is the last pillar of our freedom and we have a duty to demand better than what I see from him. We have a responsibility to hold these people accountable and uphold the oath they took - from the judical code of ethics they swore to uphold, #3 on the link below:
"Judges should uphold the dignity of judicial office at all times, avoiding both impropriety and the appearance of impropriety in their professional and personal lives. They should at all times conduct themselves in a manner that garners the highest level of public confidence in their independence, fairness, impartiality, integrity, and competence"

People with these types of personalities who end up in positions of power inevitably create a tyrannical atmosphere where everyone feels like they’re walking on egg shells. I’m sure they dread having to work with him but because there’s no one above to keep the guy in check, so he’ll operate as king and that personality gets off on punishing those beneath him. Just a terrible look for someone who’s supposed to be the moral yardstick others can aspire to.
Everyone needs to have a way to be checked when their behavior or treatment of others crosses a line. No better way to teach him a lesson than public embarrassment seeing as he embarrasses those in his courtroom every day for the slightest perceived misstep in whatever reality exists in that mind of his.
Any person who goes out of their way to contact someone’s supervisor and get them in trouble is the worst kind of professional human. Guarantee he went to the teacher as a kid and reported which person in his group projects, didn’t carry their weight and lobbied that they should get a lower grade bc of it.

seanx50@reddit
We don't have consequences anymore.
ENovi@reddit
What consequences should there be? Don’t get me wrong, this guy sucks but being a dick isn’t against the law and anyone who does know his name knows him as “that asshole judge” so I don’t know what more can happen. Maybe this violates some sort of ethical standard with the Texas bar association or something (I really don’t know) but aside from that being caught on camera being a dick to an IT guy I don’t know what else could happen.
CupBeEmpty@reddit
It definitely isn’t an ethical violation the bar would be interested in.
There are judicial ethics rules. I have no idea what Texas’ rules are there because I have never practiced in Texas.
However, “get out of my courtroom” doesn’t rise to the level of discipline in any court I know of.
Yeah the judge is being an ass but guess what… there is no consequence other than people thinking you’re an ass.
What exactly do you expect to be done? Public apology? Personal apology? If the judge doesn’t do that should he lose his job? You know any replacement judges out there just waiting to take over?
The real shitty thing was the judge demanded an attorney appear in court because he wrote an email saying the judge should apologize. The judge thought it was an ex parte communication. It was not.
I believe Texas elects its judges so the consequence would be to vote the guy out. He’s not going to get censured most likely and he isn’t going to be impeached. It would be nice if he made a personal apology but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
One random county judge usually doesn’t get anyone fired up even if it is their county.
Deiser@reddit
There is zero basis to believe that he actually thought that the email was ex parte given that the original email sent to him mentioned no cases. It is blatantly clear that he was using it as a threat and implying that he would lie to get the lawyer in trouble. He also was trying to order the lawyer to appear in court through illegitimate means as that's not how you do an official summons. This is all documented in the emails, and anyone in digital forensics would be able to verify that the email chain is legitimate if the judge had the guts to question its legitimacy to any potential judiciary oversight hearing.
There's plenty of evidence to punish the guy for breaking the code of ethics. Not only that, but the fact that he's been caught multiple times publicly doing this on top of his failure to provide financial disclosure could easily make Texas seek to punish him with heavy fines or disbarment as a matter of public policy (using the code of ethics as the legal reason) due to how bad his actions make the entire Texas legal system appear.
KaiTak98@reddit
Was a time public shaming counted for something. But now it’s a badge of honor in many places. I would hope the voters in his next election would remember this and vote him out. But who really does their due diligence on judicial elections? Maybe a reprimand for the BS claim of ex parte communications? But in reality this will be forgotten in less than a week. It’s a sad state of affairs right now.
ThePickleConnoisseur@reddit
Unless he does something legally egregious nothing will happen. No law for being a dick
Deiser@reddit
He may not face jailtime, but you don't have to have to break a law to be severely punished in the legal field. There is a strict - and I emphasize strict - code of ethics against this sort of behavior that can get a judge or a lawyer heavily fined for this sort of unprofessionalism because you're supposed to be as neutral (as a judge) or as professionally supportive of a client (as a lawyer) as possible. This sort of thing can lead to heavy fines or even disbarment even if he's an elected official.
Given that this isn't the first time he's done this, has multiple complaints filed against him (according to other posters) and now has been documented as threatening a lawyer with ex parte review both unprofessionally and illegally (especially if his email is read by judicial oversight committee as being willing to lie about ex parte to get the lawyer in trouble), I hope he gets outright disbarred for this along with heavy fines. He certainly isn't going to be getting reelected in 2028.
kartoffel_engr@reddit
I’m not sure what kind of consequence would even be appropriate. It doesn’t remotely qualify for judicial misconduct.
IT guy could’ve been more professional and said, “I wasn’t able to recreate the issue, would you like me to hang around for it to happen again?”, instead of being dismissive on the validity of the judge’s report of the issue. Judge could’ve responded differently too, but honestly it’s a reasonable human reaction to an unprofessional IT dude. I’d be pretty irritated if I was experiencing issues that prevented me from doing my job, took the time to get someone in to fix it, just to have them tell me IN MY OWN OFFICE, that there is no problem and then laugh about it.
Kaleb_JamesC@reddit
Yall are so soft lol
Deiser@reddit
Condemning someone for threatening people who threaten people with losing their jobs or arresting them when they did nothing wrong is being soft?
No-Temporary-7874@reddit
Not as soft as the judge who acted like a brat
Advanced-Event-571@reddit
He said "it's working, false alarm." Nothing about that merited the disrespect and rudeness from the judge. It's not reasonable to be nasty to someone because you feel stupid and insecure. If the judge is that fragile and emotional that he started crying and yelling at any percieved slight, he shouldn't be a judge.
Deiser@reddit
He also threatened the guy's job at the end by demanding for his supervisor.
SunnyDayPDX@reddit
The issue is that he forced the lawyer (who complained in an email) to appear in his court. Then the judge accused the lawyer of communicating ex parte when that lawyer didn’t even have a case in his court. Abuse of power.
ScratchLess2110@reddit
The lawyer is not going to show:
"Judge, I have no cases in your Court, thus this is not ex parte but merely a voter exercising one's freedom of speech concerning what some would consider offensive decorum in your courtroom," Stafford's email to Milliron read. Stafford told ABC13 that he does not plan to appear before Milliron's court on April 9."
Deiser@reddit
Not to mention that a private email is not a proper method for a judicial summons. It has no power. It's the same with his email about ordering that a particular clerk would be sent to his court even though he even admitted that no one wanted to be a clerk at his court (I wonder why). The guy is very much on a power trip.
Competitive_Fix_2452@reddit
Ordering a lawyer to appear for stating his opinion is the issue now. If he issues a bench warrant for failing to appear, there will be serious consequences for the judge.
3111211392025@reddit
If you flip out like this judge over a misunderstand with it you have worms in your brain and are extremely emotional and shouldn’t be responsible for the lives of people but that’s just my opinion
Diligent-Peak1119@reddit
You would understand if you were that IT guy, that the majority of user issues are self inflicted or simply do not exist.
I helped someone get their drives back and they still kept saying to co-workers and customers that they can't do anything because they don't have their drives still.
Mind you I AM NOT an IT guy, but watching someone complain about a non existing issue is quite hard to fathom.
Judge needs to suck it up, you dont threaten for a supervisor over it.
gratefulpred@reddit
Sounds like a soft ego to me.
StoneColdRod@reddit
You weren't there. How can we change what already happened. I hope the judge doesn't need I.T. technical support soon. "The whole village was watching".....
slothsareok@reddit
Anybody that’s not in a nursing care home at this point should understand fixing technology usually involves nonsense like this and the second the help arrives the problem disappears. No I dont want a judge this stupid and I dont think this conduct is appropriate for this position. Quit standing up for people that wouldn’t give a shit if you died. I can’t comprehend this tolerance to keep making excuses for all of this god damn nonsense we have going on in recent times. It doesn’t have to be this way.
Sufficient_Storage41@reddit
took the words right out of my mouth. he clearly doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to grapple with an IT guy saying “false alarm” light heartedly but yet we’re meant to rely on his judgment? yea ok, but the justice system works just fine y’all!! 🙄
zebra_stalker_6@reddit
Nah, you need to learn patience. This shit happens all the time in tech. Something won't be working, someone will do EXACTLY what I did, and it will work. Or it'll work the third time I try. Nobody's fault. Definitely a first world problem to laugh about. Definitely not the IT guys fault for doing his job casually.
Nothing to be done officially, but I think that's where my problem lies. This is the second clip I've seen of him recently, the other dismissing a defense attorney (black woman, how convenient) and threatening to have her cuffed. There needs to be ways to check motherfuckers like this. Absolutely unacceptable power trippy behavior.

I retired from a Sheriff Department. Spent three years working in a courthouse as a Sergeant. Judges like that can't keep staff. Clerks, administrative assistants and Court Deputies will refuse to work his courtroom. Usually those folks are union employees and will have some say as to working a courtroom with someone everybody knows is difficult. Eventually the Chief Judge will have to deal with him. I just saw a video of him threatening to have an attorney arrested for essentially doing her job. Will he have consequences? No. Many judges act like this because hardly anyone questions them or holds them accountable. A judge is what happens when you give man control over their fellow man.
Outrageous_Factor_84@reddit
My boss and I (paralegal) were in the courtroom waiting on our motion hearing —we were after her. It was horrible and unnerving. We soon we we got back to the office, I had to draft an affidavit and have it notarized as to what I witnessed, my boss did the same and then she proceeded to file a complaint with the State Judiciary Committee. When we approached the court administrator she implied they’ve had numerous complaints but couldn’t do anything about it because he was voted in.

imjackzimmer@reddit
He most likely won’t. I work in IT and I’ve had my fair share of customers like Judge Milliron here. Management will always tell us something will be done, but nothing ever is. Considering the fact he’s a judge, the only way he’ll face any punishment at all is if enough people complain to the State about his actions, so much that they have to have a hearing on it. But even so he most likely won’t have punishment
Human-Ad-4310@reddit

Medium-Bluebird-1617@reddit
He'll be told to be nicer in court, but will still be an Asshole. Guy just thinks he's better and smarter than everyone else in the room because he's literally on a pedestal above everyone else.

Will probably only get 85% confirmation vote instead of 98% like the rest of them. Voting for judges is ridiculous.

His only consequences will be social but people kinda assume judges are assholes here anyway. The Republican ones can get real crazy by non-American standards.
They have been blocking environmental shit, supporting aggressive police, and trying to take our health care away for my whole life. Them being rude is just expected. Especially down south. After googling this I just want to point out, once again, that the US is 50 jurisdictions acting internationally as one. Unless something is a federal crime, asking the country in general is useless.
Domestically, we are still 50 jurisdictions. Domestically, we are 50 states. If something happened in one state, and it wasn't catastrophic or revolutionary, there is little reason for the other states to know or even care.
This specifically happened in Harris County, Texas. This question is better suited for either a Texas subreddit, a Houston subreddit (largest city in Harris county) or a Harris county subreddit.
To recap:
Internationally - one nation
Domestically - 50 states
If something happens in one state, the other 49 states aren't put on high alert. No one in, say, Alaska or North Dakota is rushing to care about a county level judge in Texas.

Unlikely. Judges can do damn near anything without consequences. They're nearly impossible to get rid of outside of elections.
