Tastefully modified ones. No, your clapped ass golf doesn't get me attention the way you think it does. But a nicely dont one? For sure!

Yes! I saw a Suzuki Samurai the other day and completely lost my shit.

You just reminded me I saw a Mitsubishi Expo earlier today!
heyitsYMAA@reddit
My parents used to have one of those!
We had the Expo before my parents traded it in for the last year of the Honda Odyssey before it got sliding minivan doors.
DriftRacer07@reddit
For me, not even that rare. If I see a perfectly preserved LeBaron theyāve got my attention. A pristine 90s shitbox has to be more rare than any Lambo Huracan
hmmmyousaidwhat@reddit
I really want to see a mint Chevrolet Chevette on the road, even if it's on reddit and not out irl.
phasttZ@reddit
Holy shit you are my hero. I see an isuzu badged 3rd gen looking supra sitting in someone's yard. Had no idea what it was until now.
Mjarf88@reddit
Cars that are potential candidates for my next car. Like the 3rd gen Kia E-Soul and EV3. Supras and Skylines catch my interest of course, but for other reasons.
Oddly15@reddit
Uncommon cars, not necessarily special, just rare. My friends get confused when I stop to look at a 1st gen SHO Taurus, but don't care about an Audi R8. I'll appreciate just about any car that "feels" special.
DiligentBet7668@reddit

Many_Buddy_98@reddit
So no BMW's. Got it
1TallGent@reddit
I'm pretty sure mine has turn signals. You need them to pass inspection, right?
Quirky-Attitude1456@reddit
My ex drives a bmw and I act shocked every time she uses the turn signal. Iām like holy shit they work.
Piney1943@reddit
Theyāll get it when billboards are mirrors and I can admire myself. LOL!š
paypermon@reddit
They have turned signals if you pay the subscription fee each month
ParticularAgency1083@reddit
good luck with that. Even if they are functional, it's usually because they've been under used and are not worn out. How can you even tell?
Fotomonkey13@reddit
When they flash, it means they're functioning

Alfa Romeo's are beautiful.
GhostOfConeDog@reddit
1990's cars that are still in decent shape. The 90's are an underappreciated great era of automotive design. There was way more variety available compared to today. They had enough tech to be user-friendly, yet they were still relatively simple and repairable. Unfortunately 90's cars are a lot more rare now than they should be, thanks to Cash for Clunkers.
giga_quail@reddit
Dacia Sandero
Due_Prior_7962@reddit
I saw a mid 90s Honda Civic that was absolutely pristine a few days ago. I pulled up, some younger guy in his 20s. Told him the car is sick. He said I was the oldest (40) guy to compliment it. Everything he did was tasteful (shocking, no body kit!). It sounded nice too. Guy definitely spent some cash on it.
Yeah Corvettes, old muscle cars, exotics turn my head too but that Civic....wow. Im not a Civic fan either!
No-Inspection-985@reddit
Definitely, every time I see a 90s Honda or Toyota rolling down the road, still looking great in this snowy area, Iām in awe.
Gibalt@reddit
20+ year old cars that are well kept and look like new
Substantial-Onion-92@reddit
Yup this is it. I'd rather see an absolutely mint 1999 Cavalier over a brand new Huracan.
Due_Prior_7962@reddit
I drove my $600 Cavalier until the unibody gave way. Original owner bought it brand new but Ohio roads wrecked it. He was going to junk it because the instrument cluster died. $100 later and I had it rebuilt.
Drove it for 4 years before rust got her. Oil changes, instrument cluster, and thats it! Thing was a BEAST in snow.....just had some generic ass tires on it that were brand new when I got it!
daveyboydavey@reddit
What about a pristine 2 door Tercel?
IAmJacksSphincter@reddit
The one diesel shop in town has a 20 something woman working the counter and she has a MINTY fresh Cavalier, looks like it drove off the showroom floor. It makes me harder than seeing a random lambo/ferrari.

Yup. I see a mint 1989 cavalier or Corsica I'm giving a thumbs up.
Jjzeng@reddit

Downtown-Tourist6756@reddit
Anyone can dump a bunch of money into a restoration, it takes skills to keep an older car going on a limited budget. Especially if itās driving on the highway or a steep, winding mountain road.

terminal_blue@reddit
Yeah, I've noticed that Altimas do tend to be going a different direction than I expect as well.
Namely into other cars, guardrails, pedestrians, the wrong way on a one-way/exit ramp/side of the freeway, etc.
bcsublime@reddit
All the directions.

Horrifically overloaded Toyota pickups. Last week I saw one with about a 10ft tall junk pile in the bed sandwiched between two pallets. I should also say I donāt discriminate against type of vehicle either. Iām a big sucker for trucks where the center of the wheel is right in line with the bottom of the body and/or the wheels are flush with the body but the tires bulge out slightly past it. Yal can disagree and laugh all you want doesn't change my statement lol
Tony-cums@reddit
Your statement is empty. You donāt know what I drive and Hyundais are junk. Wrong on two points.
anthony26812@reddit
Don't have to know, and only the mid 10's were junk. If you ask someone about hyundai they will always say the older ones are bad but the newer ones are fine, past reputation is causing people to be ignorant.
Tony-cums@reddit
Youāre too dumb to see that the new ones just havenāt had time to fall apart yet. Give them time. Itās been decades of junk. I can tell you have never turned a wrench.
anthony26812@reddit
"Give them time" lmao what a good statement full of valid reasoning. I can tell a lot of people in your life hate you
Tony-cums@reddit
I have three decades of evidence to show Hyundais hate time.
Youāre a nobody to me, doofus. You arenāt going to hurt my feelings at all.
anthony26812@reddit
and like I said, those decades have caused them a bad rep, but the newer hyundais are not bad at all.
Way to show you're getting hurt by this, talking about your feelings directly like that lmao, and you are the nobody especially with the name "Tony-cums" lol you still have a 6th grade brain and it shows.

Massive trucks. I'm currently serving in the Navy as a student and I'm seeing so many 18-22 year olds with huuuuge trucks, I'm talking F-250 sized and even bigger. Idk if it's super common in the civilian world to drive massive trucks with no use for their sheer size but I promise you there's very few kids that young that need a truck that big. But I guess it's the cool thing to do if you're that young and you're trying to act "country" whatever they seem to think that means. I drive a truck myself, a Toyota Tacoma, but that is a reasonable size that can carry a huge load of belongings while not being overly huge. It's not trucks in general I have a problem with, but the size-to-actual use.

Not sure which gen civic you have, but the 11th gen (imo) is just a heavier 10th gen, hence even though I love the 11th gen civic and it is my dream car, I will not get the gas only auto. 10th gen is brilliant though.
For the 11th gen, the hybrid is more refined and, in theory, more reliable; manual Si is also, in theory, more reliable.
As for Auto hate, I just don't understand GR Yaris/Corolla/Supra owners who buy auto. Those are enthusiast cars, so why auto?

Not really.
In LA I see new Lamborghinis and McLarens literally every single day. $200-300K supercars are just not a rarity where I live. They are common.
If I see a clean 30 year old Toyota MR2, that gets me more excited. And I guarantee you that the driver of that car would be way more interesting to talk to than the typical Lamborghini or McLaren owner. And I say that as a supercar owner myself (R8).
For me to get excited over a supercar it needs to be really rare or exclusive. I'd go crazy over a Jaguar XJ220, or a Vector.
