Fuck this. It is ridiculous that the city is thinking about getting rid of city hall. It’s no surprise though in this fucking city that values money over people and culture.
davidhern22@reddit
It needs to be gone that area needs development . One foot south of commerce and your in a parking lot full of fent zombies
dumasymptote@reddit
Yes because developers are going to solve that problem. Oh wait no they won’t.
davidhern22@reddit
It’s currently empty parking lots outside of an ugly ass building
Tchaik748@reddit
Agreed. Save city hall!

For all the Dallas Mavericks PR team that watches this site understand one thing: I will dedicate every minute of my time to ensure that any voter block that has a bond for money to build the mavs new stadium is informed on why they should vote no.
If you want this new arena, which you do not deserve, the Adelsons can fund the entirety of it with their own money. Otherwise you will see how much our community can come together to fight against tax dollars going to your buisness interest.
There are many sports franchises that have fully funded their own stadium, be that beacon of you ever want your mavs fans back
MrBaDonkey@reddit
Fuck the Adelsons and anything that could potentially benefit them. Get them out of our city.
JayWo60@reddit
Each year, I care less and less about professional sports.
CFH75@reddit
how bout you pay for the hole fucking thing yourself?
Chreiol@reddit
Am I hearing… concepts of a plan?
MikeFromSuburbia@reddit
I’d rather them stay downtown. Valley view had no dart rails nearby… and yes traffic would be horrific
It already is: source I work on 75 and 635
shitp0stspectacular@reddit
They already have a downtown arena. Fuck off mavericks.
Right_Letterhead_120@reddit
Cool. As long as its 100% funded without public funds.
wllmnthny@reddit
Let’s be honest, there’s zero chance it won’t be at least partially subsidized by us. An unfortunate truth. Would love to be wrong!
blackvariant@reddit
I'm betting no "direct funding" but the city hall property will have a fire sale and end up with the Sands (Mavs owners).

That's one of the reasons Cuban sold the team, people don't understand that, he's probably still dealing with underlying depression over that. He loved that team. But with the current trend of major market teams building new arenas every 20-30 years, he already knew. To compete for All-Star games, Final Fours, and whatever else basketball related events available, they'd need a new arena. Thats going to take some strong arming, palm greasing, a little Republican ass kissing, none of that is in his wheelhouse of morals. The city will fund a portion of this arena, probably try to tie it in with the new convention center, try to smooth it over. We'll see.
bigbugzman@reddit
In Las Vegas.
aramz007@reddit
Amen! Sell the team! Can't wait until the genoc gaslighting, astroturfing owners gtfo of Dallas! Keep the pressure on them!
awr54@reddit
It can happen near the convention center but doesn't mean it needs to replace city hall
