How many of you have embraced the cold coffee concept?

I love iced coffees, cream cold brews, flavored cold coffees etc. I love it all. I’m often an overheated chick in the age of hot flashes and I generally run twenty to eighty degrees hotter than any other humans around me. So the idea of hot coffee most time sounds about as appealing to me as drinking hot chocolate in Hell. I don’t care for frappes or whatever blended margarita thing they decided to do to coffee, as just like how I prefer my margs on the rocks, give me my coffee on the rocks. I like flavored coffee but prefer strong black coffee or shots of espresso with the flavors pumped in as shots later or the flavor added with the cream. It’s like how I prefer my chocolate malt made with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge, not made with chocolate ice cream. There is a difference but it sounds looney to explain it. Yes friend, you will get lots of people to agree with you here. People who just like “strong black coffee, plain, nothing added” have a strange pride in themselves for preferring coffee in its purest state. People on Reddit especially are so proud to resist all forms of chain restaurants and coffee places (only go local!) and while I applaud any fight back of the corporate overlords that control us, there is also a reason the line is around the bend of the drive through Starbucks in my town. People like sugary creamy coffee delights and people like knowing every time they pull up to a Starbucks in any town in the country it will be the exact same quality. I like local places and *gasp* I like Starbucks. I like good strong black coffee with cream and sugar and life it too short to deprive myself of little joys because it isn’t cool to like what I like. But Reddit runs on self-important pats on back so I give my adoration to those of you purists who derive joy from lording your purity over others. Carry on and I salute you!
