I picked up a Mete SF (G19 size) as a spare gun for $280 shipped thru Dalonega recently, the SFT was the same price. These are great shooters. Only one mag is included but if you already own other TP9s/Rivals it’s not a big deal.

I’ve heard too many things about the MC9 being kind of a dud overall for me to consider one. Too many weird out of battery issues and apparently not being drop safe (not sure if that’s been debunked).

I’ve had two of the normal MC9s and they both had the feeding issue. I was big mad about the second one because it was a Lipseys Exclusive burnt bronze and loved how it looked but could not trust it for a carry gun.

I have both MC9 variants and prefer to carry the normal over the Prime. I like the compact size for comfort over the extra few rounds from the Prime's larger frame. However the Prime is easier to handle and let others try out a Canik at the range, along with the Rival and Mete SFT. As for issues, my MC9 had a few occasional feeding issues when new, but no problems now with at least 2k+ of 115g FMJ and a few hundred standard defensive rounds after 3 years.

Depends on how much gun you're comfortable carrying. This is very much a full-size 9mm handgun, the more "carry" sized Canik offering is the MC9 series. But this is still shorter than the Mete SFX which has a longer barrel/slide.

I recently shot a friend's Canik TP9 sfx and I was surprised how much better the Rival trigger is than the trigger in some of the older Canik models.

I carry the MC9 and while the trigger is still good, the Rival is definitely better. I got the MC9 for the balance of price/size/trigger, but if you're going full size you may as well get the Rival.

I started with the polymer Rival years ago for IDPA/USPA and bought the MC9 for conceal carry in May of 2024. Some replace the MC9 trigger with a Rival trigger. If I did I replaced the trigger I would use the one of the popular aftermarket triggers that still allows for plenty of room for one's finger in the smaller trigger guard on the MC9. The trigger is good enough and I am not sure I would want my concealed carry trigger to feel like my Rival trigger. I used the MC9 for a practice IDPA session indoors this year and had no issues with it. The range is not long so I did not really need a bigger pistol or red dot to make it easier as would be desirable at a deeper outdoor stage.
I am not interested in getting any of the larger MC9 or Prime models as the MC9 is as big as I care to conceal carry. I use Hurley Welding bases on my 15-round mags so I can get my full hand on the grip if I want to carry the 15-round mags. I can still use the short mags when it is harder to conceal a 15-roiund magazine.

100%. I looked at some of the aftermarket triggers and decided I wouldn't want an MC9 with a trigger my dumb self installed pointing at my crotch for 10 hours a day.

I'd probably jump on this but I already have the Mete SFX. This is the "ONE" package that doesn't come with some of the accessories that the full Mete package comes with, but overall seems like a good price for a VERY nice shooting 9mm.

I bought this version. Great gun and decent price. It comes with 1 magazine and less stuff than a regular Canik package. Upgraded it with galloway precision and it's much better. Almost the same league with Rival for a bit less. I do wish the barrel is threaded though.
