It was meant to be a 777 competitor but unfortunately only a wooden mockup was made unfortunately

seems it would have had a middle landing gear

A low wing Antonov just looks wrong
ackermann@reddit
Ruggudized landing gear like the Tu-154 for rough runways. That may be the reason for the middle gear

A Spruce Duck.

Surely the fact that it has no wings disqualifies it from this subreddit?

I Persia Lily find the lack of wings quite an odd circumstance… and dont call me Shirley.

r/Weirdstumps is not a place you want to visit at work.

does anyone own any 3-point view of the sketches? I'd like to CAD them myself as an 3D Object though :))

How have I never heard of this before?

A330/767 competitor, not 777 and was designed to be able to operate from all airports with existing Tu-154 service. Basically ruggedness of Tu-154 with comfort/economy of a, then modern A330 or 767.
Ferretlord4449@reddit (OP)
The planned capacity was about 350 which is more in line with the 777 than 767 or a330
FZ_Milkshake@reddit
Same exact fuselage diameter and two meters shorter than the A330(-200), single class capacity of the -200 is limited to 400 pax, 440 for the 777-200 and 550 for the -300.
