Should I buy the asus dual 9060XT 16GB version for $400 or the 8GB version for $305?

9060 XT 16Gb no question. New games require a lot more memory.

PS6 is going to have more than 16GB. Maybe 30GB? Better try not to have less than PS5 RAM.

If you never plan to game at higher resolution than 1080p 8GB may be ok. The price difference is quite a lot, I'd not buy an 8GB card now. Last time I got 8GB was probably 10 years ago and I tend to just buy midrange gear, so that tells you how bad 8GB is. Last card was 12GB, current one is 16GB. 16 would be my pick.

Problem is if you want to play more demanding games, 16gb is just better all round.

If you can afford it, spend the extra money for 16GB model. The 16GB of VRAM may not be essential for the games you play right now but, unless you plan on upgrading your GPU again in just a couple years, you may find you want the extra VRAM for games releasing in the future. It's always better to have the extra headroom and not need it than need it and not have it. An extra $100 now gives you that peace of mind and should provide a little extra longevity to the card's viability. I'd say it's a worthy investment, especially given there's no telling what future GPU pricing will look like.
