I own two of these and they’re a neat little thing. Battery is easy to remove so it doesn’t interfere with removing the slide. They go on my non MOS police trade ins. Replacing the dead night sights with a functional red dot that’s durable for $110? Good enough for me.

I originally bought mine to put it on my 47.5 MOS. But when you try to put it on, the dovetail is too far back. When you don't have the MOS cut, your dovetail is a quarter inch more forward and allows it to fit snugly against the back plate. It works perfectly on my g30.5, if you look at my post history you can see some pictures of it

A red dot from a time when optics cuts weren't commonplace and fudds were very hesitant to put optics mounted on a slide. You could install these on a regular glock or M&P (different models for each) and not have any real commitment if you didn't like it like you would if you cut the slide or whatnot. This also allowed you to use the small round window as a rear aperture because it replaced the rear sight, which is not something that could be said for every dovetail adapter on the market at the time. Needless to say there's way better options on the market now all around and people generally want bigger optic windows.

if youre new to red dots and dont have an optics cut, this is a good transitional sight to use for the price
once you get a little experience and decide what optic you want to go with, then you can send your slide off to get milled

The idea behind this is solid but the execution is terrible because of the dovetail mount/bulbous battery housing. Imagine a low profile tunnel style dot like this, but direct mounted onto a 380 pocket gun with proper battery depth.
