In general any LPVO with a greater than 6x magnification range is going to be less than stellar at this price point. 4-6x is the sweet spot of magnification so unless you’re getting a razor or something of that nature then expect some not so amazing clarity at full magnification. I have the venom 1-6 and the strike eagle gen 2 1-8 SFP. From what I hear the FFP is a little better than the SFP. If you really want a FFP optic this is not a terrible option at this price point with the mount included. As others have though, there are some better options for not a lot more cost. However I love vortex and their customer service/warranty so there’s that too.

I have the SFP version, it’s decent. The edges are a bit blurry and the reticule isn’t visible in bright conditions. With that said it’s fully clear until full 8x magnification. I think the SFP version is a great deal for the price, don’t know if I would want to pay this much just for FFP.

Probably because the point of this reticle (and LVPOs in general) is to act like a red dot at 1x zoom. If you were running a 3-12x or something, I could see a piggyback being worth the weight.
