Preventing slide play and a trigger safety should prevent the UDs. The nicer frames (like the flux raider) don’t have the slide play that the oem plastic sig ones do. If you want to build a raider, you’ll need a full size P320 or a compact with a threaded barrel and suppressor or compensator. It’s a really fun range toy if you want to build one
The problem with the P320 is Sig ate into their own market share with all the P365 variants. Why get a pistol with all the issues when you can get the “exact” same pistol from the same company but with zero (deadly) problems.

Trigger safety won’t do anything to fix the issue; the problem with the P320 is the striker slipping off the safety catch. The original designer even filed a patent to fix the “flawed” design Sig is still using.

The vast majority of them are safe. The p320 is still one of the most popular guns, if none or even most of them weren't safe you would be hearing about it much. The best guess I've seen is the UD's are caused by tolerance discrepancies between parts.

There are also no ways to verify which ones are safe. There are multiple ways these have been proven to misfire. It's not just one or two parts that were given a little too much tolerance ... it's the whole gun. That's why Sig is being a bitch about this. They know the only solution to admitting they fucked up is to recall every gun, chunk them in the bin, and mail everyone a brand new gun that was designed correctly. Their "voluntary upgrade" failed to fix the problem.
Don't buy this garbage. It's bad for the hobby / industry. Fuck you Sig.

People think the play between the OEM chassis and slide is what is the probable cause.
From the videos, I think it’s related to when the guns get leveraged in the holsters. There was one where a cop squatted, and the leveraged against the body pushed it out. Another one where a school resource officer was putting something in her car and got knocked against her leg.
I think there is a loaded chamber condition whereby some slight deformation occurs in the frames, enough that can be generated by the leveraged of the holster against one’s own body. And/or with a slight impact at a certain angle, that makes those things go off.
