Someone told me to post my peanut butter and artichoke sandwich here for some reason

Tastes fine to me. š
Next-Drink8593@reddit
I really wish I could believe this was delicious.
Tiglath-Pileser_III@reddit
Why not? Kimchi and peanut butter's good.
IED117@reddit
For some reason.
imgonnakickyouram@reddit
Hey OP. I hate this.
Porkwarrior2@reddit
Could be worse.
You might have used broccoli.

Artichokes & Avocado's are the veggies of pussies, they have no flavour.
If you want to go hardcore, broccoli & brussel sprouts next time.
Resident-Cobbler2189@reddit
"Avocado's?" Another forum š¤
Porkwarrior2@reddit
I'm a hardcore pineapple on pizza. Even I don't dare dip my toe on what people do with an Avacado. š¤£š¤£š©š©š©

Reyalta@reddit
Broccoli and peanut butter is a killer combo. Have you never had Thai food?Ā
Porkwarrior2@reddit
If your idea of Thai food, has broccoli in it, you're eating white people Thai food.
I must've missed the Great Thailand Broccoli War...
Reyalta@reddit
Lol! Legit. My idea of actual Thai food is pretty authentic but I've definitely had "Thai broccoli salad" before that was unreal. That was kinda two different thoughts though ... Thai food uses peanut sauce in savoury ways constantly and there's nothing weird about it.Ā
Any-Eye6299@reddit
I hate you
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
After how nauseous I got from this sandwich's fucked up sequel, me too.
pug_with_a_hat_on@reddit
No. I love artichokes, but the peanut butter flavor would overpower the artichoke and then you just have artichoke leaf texture
Zestyclose_Charge_60@reddit
I thought the peanut butter and salami sandwich I made was odd
Mytrapsaregenetic@reddit
Ayo, add a little srirachaaaaa
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Salami could go well with it.
DoritoLipDust@reddit
Am I the only one who sees these posts and would totally give at least one bite a chance? I mean, it's different sure, but maybe delicious... Just maybe.
mamamenagerie@reddit
You know I like grilled pickle and peanut butter sandwiches so I feel like I would like this hard.
taylorthestang@reddit
I feel so seen, thank you. Everybody mocks me for my PB&Pās.
mamamenagerie@reddit
They are so gooood! They definitely scratch an itch.
sofixa11@reddit
In the same way a lobotomy does
mamamenagerie@reddit
Some days, this seems like a sound choice.
taylorthestang@reddit
Okay but do you have the itch after?
mamamenagerie@reddit
Fair question.
ElkSad9855@reddit
Ok so is the pickle grilled or is the sandwich as a whole grilled?
mamamenagerie@reddit
The whole sandwich is grilled. Just enough to give the bread some color and to get the pickles warm and the peanut butter melty.
Whoops-A-Donald@reddit
See, I love peanut butter in a number of unorthodox combinations and yet, I think this is where I would draw the line. But happy it made someone else happy.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I tried it as a joke but it was actually lowkey good. š
paristexasisburning@reddit
The ribbing in the artichoke is sending me to the fucking moon

āFor some reasonā bfr

:p
ProgenitorOfMidnight@reddit
I'll be honest I've never had artichoke and been wowed, like even artichoke dips are just like ok.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Fair enough. Artichoke dips are meh in my opinion. Artichoke chicken though, that's some good shit.
ProgenitorOfMidnight@reddit
Haven't heard of it being used that way, I'll definitely look into it though.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Valid. My mom would make enough to feed roughly 5 people at a time and she dumbed down the recipe for me. You can mix a can of marinated artichokes (~18oz), a cup of sour cream, a cup of mayo, and about a cup of parmesean in one of those baking pans that look like a cookie sheet but deeper with a bunch more sprinkled on top - depending on how much of a "crust" you want on the sauce. Cut up a few chicken breasts and season them with salt and pepper before putting them in. The pieces will be drowning in the sauce and thats okay. Bake at 425° farenheit (218° celsius) for a half hour. The sauce should be boiling, if not just check the internal temp. As long as the internal temp reaches 165° Fahrenheit (74° Celsius) it's fine, but if not you can just throw it back in till it's cooked all the way through.
ProgenitorOfMidnight@reddit
Thanks! Imma toss this onto my list of recipes to try!
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
No problem! If you try it, tell me how it goes!
FinalPerspective4411@reddit
I see not one tooth mark on them there artichokes.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I'm assuming you mean to scrape the flesh off the leaves, but these ones are marinated so you can just eat the whole leaf.
CommieDog2525@reddit
Are you pregnant by any chance?
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Nope
Butt_Smurfing_Fucks@reddit
Always open-minded, please tell me what this tastes like? Do you stand by it?
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I stand by it. It's like a pb+j but with savory jelly.
Butt_Smurfing_Fucks@reddit
As I had a nutritionist 30 years ago tell me that I needed more protein in my diet, he suggested poached eggs on peanut butter toast. I thought that was disgusting but I still do that today because it is so tasty.
Thus the open mind of culinary items that appeared dysfunctional. Thank you for replying.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
No problem. That actually sounds interesting, might try it.
Butt_Smurfing_Fucks@reddit
Itās so freaking good.

"For some reason." Hah. You know your crime and you revel in it!
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I haven't the slightest clue what you mean.
DramaticGuesswork420@reddit
Anarchist! VILLAIN.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Sorry I'll fix it. Ill add Gochujang and seaweed to balance it out.
Negative1Life@reddit
Ya know, peanut butter and gochujang might actually slap
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
It actually did. š
Amneiger@reddit
Thai food has spicy peanut butter sauce for chicken and noodles. Maybe you could look into that?
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Yeah.
DramaticGuesswork420@reddit
The world and peanut butters everywhere trembles in fear at your feet...
^(...But honestly now I want to try peanut butter with seaweed š)
OrderAgreeable5046@reddit
that actually sounds kinda interesting, like a weird combo that might work lol⦠gotta give it a shot sometime š
Bammertyme@reddit
Try pickle and peanut butter. Sweet pickle for more of a dessert sandwich. Bread & butter for dinner lol
North_Star12@reddit
I think the reason is because you choose to make a peanut butter and artichoke sandwich!
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I know. I forgot to add nori and gochujang to complete the meal.
Prestigious_Wrap_932@reddit
How long have you known that youāre the anti-Christ?
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)

dmw_qqqq@reddit
Wait, you can afford artichoke in this economy? You must be rich. Kidding aside, both peanut butter and artichoke are my favorites, however never had them together. Gotta try that. Thanks for the inspiration.
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Anytime. Also it's canned artichoke which you can get at pretty good prices depending on the store.
ElijahWouldNot@reddit
Is it similar to a peanut butter and pickle sandwich? I'm also intrigued, and tempted to try it at the expense of those around me
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
I've never had the former but it's genuinely not that bad. Enjoyable even. I added fermented chili paste and nori to mine and it was still somewhat enjoyable if you wanna be disowned by your friends and family alike.
Anubis-Hound@reddit
What does artichoke taste like? Also what is an artichoke.
Fluid_crystal@reddit
Try marinated artichoke on a veggie pizza. I make my own pizza at home and I usually put red onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, broccoli, olives and artichoke. It slaps
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
An artichoke is a weird spikey vegetable. When just grilled they taste pretty mild with a faintly sweet and nutty flavor with the tiniest hint of what I can only describe as asparagus. However, the artichoke in this sandwich is canned and marinaded which makes it taste kinda pickled and much more savory.
Anubis-Hound@reddit
Thank you for sharing I find this very informative. Also, I am horrifiedĀ
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Lol, your welcome.
twisted_memories@reddit
So when are you due?
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
This was for recreation, not an assignment./j
2KupShakur-@reddit
Specific-Okra4059@reddit
actually this probably tastes good if it's marinaded - i eat spicy dill and peanutbutter sandwiches sometimes and its rad
Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Right? Peanuts are used in savory stuff all the time.
Reyalta@reddit
Peanut butter pickle sandwiches fucking SLAP
Specific-Okra4059@reddit
Very Beige dish though. lol

Icollecthumaneyes@reddit (OP)
Would it make it better if I added seaweed and fermented chili paste?
