BG2.0 is the much better option. That said, this is better than none, and small guns aren't meant to be "shootable." This is a get out of a tough spot gun, not a fun day at the range hitting 25 yards gun.

I'd have to say the same about my S&W customer service experience. It did get taken care of eventually, but their lack of customer interest was glaring and it took some extra effort to resolve. In the end it has dampened my desire for any more of their products. I have both the Max and BG2 and the shooting experience, at least for me, is not night and day as some would like to claim. This is from someone with traditional pistols numbering in the dozens and shoots weekly, so it's not like I'm unaccustomed to dealing with recoil or grip issues. Sample size of 1 obviously, but none of my Rugers have had any issues out of the box, while the BG2 did with both the mags and feed ramp initially. The BG2 does feel marginally better in the shooting experience, but packing their mags full is a real challenge without mechanical assistance. If I could go back knowing what I know now, I would've held off on the BG2 until the prices dropped more or just gotten another Max when the prices had dropped a bit lower than even this deal.

I have an LCP Max 75th anniversary edition. Less than 100 round through it and a bit of dry fire, one day I went to dry fire and realized that a spring was broken. It was the spring that lifts the little lever in the right side rear frame rail that basically detects whether the slide is fully forward/in battery. I could only dry fire the gun if I held it upside down.
Ruger fixed it straight away, but I had been carrying the thing a bit! It was largely my "bumming around the house in sweats and a hoodie" gun do not like I was on the front lines of Ukraine with it, but still that would have been a bad day!

I have both and although I prefer the BG, the LCP max is a good option if you can’t afford the BG. It’s easy to carry, lightweight, good capacity and great sights. I actually prefer the sights of the LCP max over the BG.
At current prices, I think the LCP max is a great buy. Not everyone needs or should get a BG

Hot take for reddit but I prefer the LCP max (anniversary) to the BG2.0. For me it fits better in larger hands, has better sights, and pocket carrys better.
I like the lower bore axis of the BG2.0 and the trigger but besides that eh. Only complaint with the LCP max is that the recoil impulse is like a sharp push back and hurts the hands but a hogue grip eliminates a good bit of that.

Guns.com is a marketplace for small dealers that don't want to set up their own webpage. It's just not made abundantly clear to the customer how it works.
Go find anything that's commonly OOS (but listed as in-stock) or unusual and ask their CS about it, they'll hum-haw around about it because they have to contact the shop that actually has it to get an answer.
