Winter Rust 2026: Welrod Mk1 9x19mm

Shooting the \~\~bicycle pump\~\~ Welrod Mk1 in 9mm that I built this past year. Aside from the magazine and some springs, I had to make every part of this gun down to the individual screws. It sure is fun to shoot and if you’re a groundhog or opossum in my back yard, you’re in danger.

Pic rail mount when?

I’ve thought of making one. Basically the same idea as the picatinny mount that comes with the Station 6. Ive just spent so much time trying to make this an accurate reproduction that I don’t know if I can stand to see a red dot on it

Fair enough. Time for the modernized mk2

very nice. do you know if it's harder to do in 9mm then in .45 ACP? do you have to redesign the suppressor?

Not sure about .45. The 9mm was a (mostly) upgraded and upsized version of the original .32 ACP model. The .32 used flat baffles and for some reason on the 9mm they went with a ported tube inside a tube in lieu of baffles. Doing it in .45 would require upsizing the action a bit.

I might be stupid, because I just realized I took Brandon Herrera too literally when he said the B&T Station 6 was the modern version of the Welrod. I 100% thought it was in .45.
