Im sorry but this is FAR from proof. Did they get the weapon to fire again with the safety on? Was there some fault found with the fire arm? P2 saw it put in condition one and 5 hours later who knows what condition the firearm was in at the time it went off. Of course the guy who had the ND is gonna claim it was on safe.... If it was on safe and it had an ND why did P3 ask and get confirmation that it was made safe now? If it fired with the safety on already why would you think gonna still not fire with the safety on? the correct move would had been to unload the firearm! SMDH LMAO... Sorry it doesnt add up! "P1 told P2 the weapon discharged. P2 checked to see that P1 was okay, visually checked with P1 that the weapon was on safe, and then returned to the guard shack to call the duty desk to report the incident."

We already know it was on safe at the END... P1 told P2 he put the safety on afterwards! SO they picked up the gun that was put on safe AFTER the ND and listened to P1 side of the story. he said he put it on safe at 5am. that leave 5 hours unaccounted for. Oh yeah they had CLEAR video that was keyed in on the manual safety of P1's P320 that they can claim it was ON right?!? And thats taking this whole report at 100% true which it obviously isnt!

You’re misreading the report; it was put on safe before the ND, not after.
They have video of P1 getting the gun, loading it, and putting it on safe before it went off. The investigator in charge determined that the safety was still on when the gun fired, which is why they wrote so in the fucking report.

YES at 5am it was put on safe. and then again AFTER the ND went off they checked/put it on safe. why the fuck do you leave it loaded at that point? SO at 5am after the ND at 10am? the firearm was on safe according to them. That still leaves 5 hours when who knows if the safety was or off. It like schrodingers cat!

The military requires carrying service pistols with the manual safety engaged, but there's still been NDs. That said, it's military, so I also wouldn't doubt some dingus grunt thought he was too smart to have an ND, and didn't carry safety on.

Take your slide off. Then, take a pointy object and press down on your sear in the frame. See if the little dingus arm to the side of it goes up while you push down on the sear. If it does with the safety engaged, it's not safe.
SIG in their infinite wisdom designed the P320's striker block deactivator arm to live next to the sear and operate along with the dropping of the sear. Glocks, M&Ps, and a few other striker guns disengage the striker block with a protrusion on the trigger bar which is locked in place with a trigger bow safety.

Incredibly stupid because the sear can drop independently of the trigger bar. Even dumber is that the sear drop motion also raises the striker block disengagement arm.

Skimmed through it and from what I can see it confirms my criticism of the design. The video does address that the P365 does it a better way by physically blocking the sear. The P320 safety stops the trigger bar, but not the sear.
I don't have my P320 anymore nor did I have a safety version. Does pressing down on the sear itself from above also move the trigger bar?
I can't remember if the trigger bar and sear interaction is floating or directly connected. If it's the latter, then perhaps the manual safety would actually be effective in physically keeping the sear from dropping.

You’re gonna be holding forever. The fire control group is $350. I can’t imagine anyone selling a gun with a control group for less than what it’s naturally going for. So you’re getting a free frame , slide and holster with this used deal otherwise.

These are great guns with decent trigger, modular design and accuracy. If only the trust in the platform was not completely broken... . My local LGS won't even take them for consignment (I tried to pawn mine). They said they have not sold a P320 in long time.

The P320 is actually known for being inaccurate. Look at the custom top ends from Grey Guns for sponsored shooters Isaac Lockwood and Mason Lane, they come with their own aftermarket barrels.

The problem with the 320 is their inconsistency. Probably due to some parts being made in India. That's why nobody can 100% show what exactly is wrong with them.

Lena Miculek and Max Michel both recently quit Sig Sauer and fled to other manufacturers, ranges are banning P320s, police departments are banning them, IDPA banned them. It doesn't really matter any more. I'd suggest getting rid of yours if you still can.

The P320 can also fire out of battery. That means blowing up in your hands if you have a lower pound recoil spring that doesn't put the gun fully in battery when you press the trigger.
