It's good to see Xena in particular tied to the 90s as it's mostly been disassociated from the decade these days.

Byanychance, well, usually 90s media doesn't reference the show much in comparison to other shows from back then. It's never featured at 90s conventions and most of the cast has been so quiet, they aren't remembered much. They mostly uphold the show themselves these days with conventions separate from the 90s.

Yes, the show is still upheld by the cast on their own. Xena conventions are separate from 90s conventions as opposed to other shows which are always showcased at them. Xena isn't really mentioned much these days as being apart of the decade.

Xena fans will always remember the cast. However most of them have been so quiet since the show ended, they don't really receive any press outside of the Xena fandom, thus their names have faded. Their hype is more niche these days.

Especially when all the way back in S2, Ron calls Leslie’s camp for troubled girls “Camp Xena” instead of Camp Athena. He manifested her!

That casting choice is still so surreal and genius to me from the moment they announced it to this day. Because what do you mean they hired tv’s most quintessential iconic strong woman to be on the show that celebrates strong women?
