Which way, Western man?

The one on your left is Ethan's wife, Mia. She gets mind controlled by either a creepy little girl or mold or both, when she abandoned you to go investigate a creepy house in Louisiana. You go to the house and find her trapped in the basement, and instead of the two of running off to safety, she turns into a crazy person, who stalks you thought the house and laugh while cutting your arm off with a chainsaw. The one on the right is Zoe, the daughter of crazy family who live in the creepy house. She wants to escape, because she isn't psychotic. You get the choice of picking which one who gets a cure to the mind control mold (and the person who doesn't get the cure dies). Canonically, you choose your wife, but it's hard to imagine picking her after she cut your arm off, because it's the most traumatic moment in the game. Like, no amount of couples therapy is going to make that metal image go away.
