What are locally specific signs of spring where you live?

When the Romans came to where my town is now, they kept going as they thought it was unhealthy. The main river is slow-moving: as soon as the temperature goes over 15 degrees, there are clouds of midges, white fly appears in the garden, stopping the honeysuckle buds in their tracks, and I've got my first overnight mosquito bite. Probably good for nesting birds though as lots of food for them. What are the signs it's finally officially spring that locals would recognise where you live?
