I’m super confused about AR22 FRT modification. It seems like there’s a million parts that may or may not be needed.
Say I have a Borebuddy economy 16” upper, and an ArcFire supersafety already working in a standard 556 AR lower.
I assume I need this trip kit; what else do I need?

If buying a new upper, you'd just select "ARC-FIRE Ready" from the list of trigger options and it'll come built out and tuned for 40gr mini mags right out of the box.

The problem with AR22s is they are SUPER finnicky. Some people drop everything in and it all works fine. Other people never get it working. After the trip, really that is all that is "needed" but chances are it wont work. You might need the borebuddy bolt weights to prevent bolt bounce. you might need a spring kit to test which spring strength works best. I never got mine working right after all that. It works with stingers (and mostly minimags) but anything less than that doesnt really work.

I do want to mention though. My dedicated ar22 is probably my favorite rifle. Beginners love it. And friends that shoot always ask how to build it. Also you can tuck most 22 suppressors in standard handguards. Pic folding stocks become options. It’s fun. Just be prepared to tinker over time or spend a little more upfront.

I have multiple. I bought the match upper from these guys a couple of years ago it's solid. I rarely clean my guns and his runs dirty as hell and it's super accurate at 25 yards. I know 25 yards isn't far but I'd imagine it would still be accurate at further distances.

Yea I regret trying to make a 3 inch barrel build work. I thought a suppressor would compensate for the barrel length but it doesnt.

That's a common misconception -- I'm not sure where people are finding this info. It acts like 1" of extra barrel at most in a 22lr. In other words, if a build is right on the edge of running, it can push it to a running point, but it doesn't make a 4.9" barrel into a 12" barrel.

I have the 4.5” apogee barrel and the cmmg conversion bolt running m&p mags and a super safety just sitting there waiting for a host. What do I need to get that running super safe?

4.5" are harder to get going than longer barrels. An ARC with a milspec trigger/hammer, reduced power hammer spring, super strike firing pin, yellow recoil spring, and some hot ammo should help get to a point that can be tuned successfully. Polishing the hammer face and bolt reset surface also helps significantly.
