I rented one of these at a range once cause I’d never seen it before (this was years ago). I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it shot. At the time I was carrying the springfield hellcat (I bought it as my first carry gun and boy did I make a mistake) so I guess anything felt better.

Yeah, by all accounts these seem to be pretty good guns, but just could never gain traction like the P365/Shield+. That rail was a real choice though, definitely doesn't help in getting someone to choose it over a competitor.

These are really underrated and a really good deal. I first picked up the larger non optic ready Mc2c on sale and really enjoyed it. I bought one of these a couple of months ago at a similar price also. It’s hard to find a quality built optic ready pistol for close to this price. It has a thin profile so it conceals well. I am really not concerned about aftermarket support for these at this price. I have Sigs and Springfields if I want to modify something.

I got one recently and I like it. It replaced my Walther PPS M2 as my carry. You should be aware it looks like Mossberg has entirely exited the pistol game if that is a concern to you. If you do get one I would recommend 2 things.
1: This made the trigger a bit nicer to me and was fairly easy. I wouldn’t bother changing the striker block safety spring from the kit, not worth the effort: https://www.mcarbo.com/mossberg-mc1sc-/-mc2c-trigger-spring-kit.aspx
