Did you guys have Logo? It was basic coding. You wrote instructions and it would draw lines.

That was a pretty fun game but I hated how you had to make your decisions based on the vague text descriptions. I had this game at home, which was a similar concept but *way* more fun. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shark!_Shark!

We may have had one computer in the library but that was it in elementary school. I went to a magnet school in high school and one of their big draws was having a computer lab with modern computers in it.

I don't ever remember this game. We got Apple computers in grade 4, 5, or 6 (I was in the same room for all three years, so I can never remember what happend when. We were a big class and it was one of the biggest rooms), I only ever remember using for Oregon trail.

[classicreload.com](http://classicreload.com) has a lot of these games, including Odell Lake, available to play in browser. When I get that twinge of nostalgia, I'll head to that website and just enjoy being a kid again.

I don’t remember computers being in my elementary school at all. And even in middle school there was a designated lab for if you took typing and that was it. It wasn’t until HS that I took a computer class. However, my dad was always super on top of tech so I remember playing Wheel of Fortune on his little Apple at his office in the 80s, and I know we had a computer in his home office by the very early 90s and that’s when I got exposed to Math Blaster, Oregon Trail, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego, and Jeopardy! He may have also brought the Wheel game home at that point too.

I don't remember this part of the game, but I do visit Odell Lake or surrounding area somewhat regularly. How do I get points?

Oregon Trail was the game to play. Of course writing gag names on the tombstones 🤣

We usually did Stickybear's Touch Typing, but man those days when Oregon Trail was set up when we walked in to the Apple II room were the highlight of 1st and 2nd grades. Budget cuts effectively shuttered the lab when there was no longer a teacher, though. We didn't have a computer class again until 7th grade technology. 😭
