I still don't know if I want to run a 12.5" barrel or an 11.5" barrel but if I do the latter this feels like a great choice. Maybe the Gods are telling me something.

The only reason to run a 12.5 is so you can do a mid length gas system tuned for a high back pressure suppressor. If unsuppressed or using a low back pressure can I'd go 11.5

Ive got the Polo K on a 12.5” carbine gas. It’s a fantastic little combo. It did require an H3 and was still gassy with true 5.56 ammo so a quick little brt gas tube swap and now she shoots just about everything very well. I’ve grown quite fond of the 12.5 length with this setup. I kept my 10.5 handguard just so I could swap back to an 11.5 barrel if needed but as of right now that likely will never happen.
