Flow 556k, any myriad of options from CAT, Exigent Defense Fireteam 556, B&T print sc 2025, cheaper RC2 mini, I can't think in my mind why this would be 1400-1500 over any of the ones I mentioned. Or if you want even cheaper you can get a Otter Creek Polonium. The suppressor game has changed.

I have an RC2 and CAT AC556 and the RC2 never gets used anymore. In the “to sell” pile now.
But also I just absolutely hate the Surefire mounting system. They market “You can just unlock the collar and shoot a round to break the carbon lock” like it’s a feature instead of a bug.

Literally every person I shoot with IRL has had their RC2 carbon lock, and sometimes in as few as 500 rounds. I did a full carbon removing bath for both the muzzle device and suppressor and even added a tiny bit of anti seize to the contact points and mine was already getting sticky again a few hundred rounds later.
Never an issue with taper lock style mounts.

I think it ultimately depends on if you wanna lean towards sound/flash suppression or back pressure. I just haven’t seen any head to head reviews on these suppressors against each other, and I’m not sure the rc4 is really worth that price since it doesn’t really have room to go lower given that surefire keeps its price high to charge Uncle Sam.

Eventually Surefire is going to lose favor with the govt and SOCOM and others will choose a newer, more impressive suppressor to go with and lose their contracts (which prevents them from charging less to consumers than govt). When that happens, they will finally have to compete with consumer pricing and these will come down I feel to the 700s (still expensive but it’s surefire they will have a hard time adjusting their egos)
Maybe the I’ll buy one of these tanks. Until then, I pay taxes and already help pay the inflated prices for these, so I’m not double dipping and paying them again at consumer prices.

I bought an RC3 and I’m not buying one. And I like my RC3 but the weight and flash with my preferred muzzle device turned me away from buying the 4skin, I could by the 3/4 prong but I want something smaller, lighter, with better flash reduction even if it increased back pressure (which the RC3 has essentially none of). Swapped to a polo K and it’s been great.
