I’ve posted this a few times, my experience has been good with this ammo. I have not had any jacket separation although, I have seen two posts so far where they had it. Could have been easily misalignment and also could have been actual jacket separation. YMMV but I’m running it. With summer coming, not a bad opportunity to try something new. Try it out and see what you think, I have a feeling your experience will be like mine.

I bought this, Winchester super quiet and reloads from lithium. The reloads were fine, the Winchester I felt was a bit louder and hotter the blazer seemed fine But after shooting a bunch of rounds I happened to look down on table and noticed a large piece of for lack of better words shrapnel. I’m not saying it came from the blazer it could’ve already been there and I just noticed it. I will still shoot the blazer once I get better eye pro I’ve been shooting in just my eye glasses. I was using a huxwrx 9k ti and shooting a stribog and a walther q5 match sf.

Back from shooting this ammo I didn’t notice any jacket separation this time. I probably shot 200 rounds suppressed and about 100 thru an assortment of hand guns un-suppressed just to see how it worked. 100% reliable. Will buy more.

CCI are about the only ones making a true copper jacket TMJ. Their Lawman brand (which uses TMJ) is absolutely choice. Getting the Lawman projo in a lower cost Blazer box is a big win in my eyes.

You cannot make a jacketed TMJ. How would you get the lead inside it? It has to be plated. Otherwise FMJ is folded copper with exposed base. Or JHP which has the base enclosed and top open.

I hear you, and it’s a valid concern. All this was was an in stock notice. If you want to try it, it’s up to you. My experience was good. But that doesn’t mean yours will. But the 13.49 for 147s even out of just shooting to plink isn’t bad even if it does jacket separate. You can’t beat it lol

It is but some goes super depending on your barrel length. This is moving slower like federal syntech, so it’s going to be quieter if you shoot it side by side with like American eagle 147 and say Remington Umc 147 or Speer lawman 147

This is a TMJ bullet not plated (unless they are misusing that term), which is the same as FMJ just with a sealed tail end rather than exposed lead.
Its literally marketed for supressor use. I don't think they would do that if it was unsafe in supressors or that would invite lawsuits.

The majority of people don’t suffer jacket separation even with the basic FMJ, but it is still a risk with the TMJ. I ran several cases without issue before learning it’s not so uncommon.

It’s still a flat nose. PMC 147gr is round and feeds so smooth in my MP5K clone.

The problem with PMC 147 is it’s 1000 fps, it’s in the same ballpark as American Eagle 147. It’s loud as hell. Have you shot them side by side ?

A good thing to try for your AP5 is the Mora mags , a lot of times even though there is no feed ramps for the ap5/mp5 platform. You can try some different mags to see if your gun will like it. The mora mags feed my ap5 perfect with flat nose. What mags do you use ?

I think some of the Mora mags will be in stock soon. KCI has worked for me as well. But something to just keep in mind is the ap5’s can be a little picky so something that works on yours may not work as well on mine. I really think the mora mags will solve your problem without going into hk mag prices

Rounded will probably always feed better btw but you may be surprised how much the kind of mags you use have to do with it. And what is to the benefit of this ammo is that it’s the Speer lawman projectile so it feeds better than the regular flat nose blazer

I shot a couple boxes through my Kuna and Omega 9k earlier. Ran fine, although out of a couple boxes I got a fireball out the ejection port twice, which hadn’t happened to me using any other ammo. Would have probably sucked if I was shooting left handed.
Syntech is $20/box now on TargetSports though so at least there is a cheaper lead free primer option.
