I received my order. The ammo is packed loose in a heavy duty Zip-Lok bag that should be air tight as long as the cases do not damage the plastic. The bags of ammo include a very small desiccant bag. One of the boxes had a bag that was not zipped shut. So you may want to open your boxes to make sure the bags are sealed closed. If the bag was not sealed then the included desiccant may need to be replaced.

I ordered multiple of boxes of this ammo on 3/25. It was supposedly packed on 3/26 with delivery date of 3/28 - 3/30 but as today, 3/30, the package has not yet been picked up by FedEx. The latest information from Academy now claims delivery by 4/3. I was concerned that they oversold and would cancel my order. I guess they may just be swamped with orders but if they actually had my order packed Thursday night then FedEx should have picked up the package on Friday. Either FedEx did not pick packages up on Friday or Academy did not give them the package for some reason. I am not a rush for most packages but I would like accurate estimates from vendors and FedEx. FedEx has missed their own delivery estimates by 1 to 3 days on my orders just this year.

Mine finally got picked up by FedEx late last night. What’s weird though is when I looked at my FedEx account on Monday evenining, Academy had over FIFTY printed and then canceled shipping labels for my order. So I reached out to Acdemy CS to see what’s going on and of course they were no help. Just said excepted delivery scheduled for the 4th. I signed up for email notifications from FedEx and received email at about 1 AM today stating the package would be delivered tomorrow but the last tracking update states that package was still in Georgia at 4 AM today. There is no way they are going to be able to deliver to me by tomorrow. At best it will be Thursday if not Friday. I don't know why their estimated delivery day has often been over optimistic by a day for me for years. A day delay does not matter but I do like to know when a package is going to arrive so I know to look for it before it gets wet. I don't want to leave it sit outside for porch pirates either even though I have not had that issue at my current address.

FedEx picked up my order from Academy this evening on the 30th. There is no estimate for delivery date which seems odd. I am happy that at least I should receive the order as it may be my last order where I could get 9mm non-Turkish brass ammo for 20 CPR delivered not including tax. The few online ammo sellers that do not yet need to collect tax for my state have few good sales for what I buy.

It’s not a true full metal jacket - they are thinly plated . They say right on the box not to use in ported or comped guns.
In a ported gun they can/will sheer off and send metal shards up out of the ports. Can be dangerous potentially if shot from retention or an odd angle, certainly build up issues. And could separate and lead to a baffle strike etc in a suppressor, there are reports of this happening
I only use blazer in non-ported, non-comped, non-pcc muzzle device weapons and it’s perfectly fine.

There is a pattern...yes. Velocity does the same.
As soon as there is any "FUD" their prices go up 20-30% in a day or two.
Eventually they will come back down.
But this seems to be a common practice

Yes, when I see 25 CPR from the vendors on Ammoseek for with lower shipping costs for 115gr new brass cased ammo and under 20 CPR with my Academy card with shipping but not including taxes I will buy more.

Anybody know why Academy won't ship ammo to Ohio? There are not restrictions on shipping ammo in Ohio and think Academy even has stores in state. Albeit not in my area unfortunately.

I discovered a year or so ago that some ammo they will not ship to Ohio or other states for no clear reason while they may have other ammo that they will ship to those same states that have no restrictions. I think Ohio was one of them.

I posted this deal a few weeks ago and got flamed in the comments for “only being 23cpr and not less than 20 cpr, not a deal”. Now all the other online retailers have raised prices, as they obviously would, to >24cpr. Glad I stacked this stuff back then, may grab some more while the price is still good and that 10% off deal sticks around. Doesn’t seem like things are going to get cheaper any time soon.
