I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of chasing micros and have owned many and shot most of them. Obviously a fully kitted out 365 or any other gun that’s ported or comped or the size of a Glock 17 will shoot softer. But imo as a true micro there isn’t a better shooting or trigger and ergos on a micro than the CC9. Obviously the cons to the CC9 is there is basically no aftermarket if that’s your thing but out of the box and the fact I paid $520 for mine it can’t be beat.
With all that being said I still own only the CC9 for a super discreet gun, but I still pick my Glock 26 99.9% of the time and carry it. But I’m probably just a boomer.

That Walther hasn't spent 20mins redesigning the grip for the PPS for a 1.5 stack 10-12rnd mag is a sin. It's a great little gun as well, but totally outclassed.

Walther is working on a gun that’s similar in size to the P365/CC9 (saw Joel Park interview the head of marketing for Walther a couple weeks ago and he confirmed this).
Rumors are that it will be radically different than anything else on the market—maybe the gun where Walther uses the patent they have for a gun with a single, central rail, which would allow them to use magazines with wider AR-15 style mouths that could feed rounds from either side of the stack (and would therefore fit an additional 1-2 rounds in the tube).

I personally think the only thing I’d enjoy off that is the paddle mag release. The cocking ears aren’t necessary or a feature and neither is a hole in the rear of the backplate to see a striker. It also looks like it has worse texture.

It’s a compact polymer framed pistol with a 3” barrel , the Glock dick safety on the trigger using a browning tilting barrel lockup. It likely has a captive recoil spring. It’s even the same color as my gun and has the same capacity along with the pinky rest on the magazine. Same rear and front serrations. Same rail attachment. If anything you paid an extra $50 for the ambi slide stop which you likely don’t even use.

DLC is the best finish. Hardest wearing, most durable. I have a couple of DLC guns that have thousands of rounds through them and look like new.
Cerakote, on the other hand, is the worst finish. It’s a metal finish you could apply in your own home, with only an oven (more or less heat-cured paint). It wears extremely rapidly.
Most companies don’t offer DLC, and those that do typically offer it as an option that adds several hundred dollars to the price. It’s definitely worth the extra $50 to go from Cerakote to DLC in this case.

Because cerakote is not a durable finish, and shouldn’t be considered a “finish” at all IMO. For something like a conceal carry gun being inserted and removed from a holster, it is going to wear down and chip off substantially faster than a proper nitride or dlc finish.
Lack of finish and living in close proximity to your body is a recipe for rusting.
