Iceland is like the official country of Battlecars

I don’t know what the exact base model vehicle was, but it was NOT large. Looked like an ordinary 4-door hatchback that had *Icelandic* levels of awesomeness applied.

Vehicles must be a passenger car (e.g., no SUVs, trucks, cargo vans). Please refer to r/battlevans for cargo vans or another subreddit for SUVs, trucks, cargo vans, and other vehicles.

I think their name implies that, or maybe it's just me.

I’ve been there too! The tires are all big floatation tires. Looks wild.

The Defender 130 just looks right.

I discovered battlecars when I moved to New England back in the 80s. Saw so many beater cars like jacked-up AMC Eagles. Locals told me they had nice cars for summer and battlecars for winter. Makes sense with all the frost heaves.

It looks like it should be bouncy.

I desperately want some of those 35+ inch arctic tires. I need a lot of cutting/work before they fit but u want them so bad.

Looks like a ZJ (Grand Cherokee).

Tacomas and 4Runners modified by Arctic Trucks are all over the place there. Very cool.
