How Well Does Cyelee STIG-RS Work?

I'm not really a pistol optics type of person, but recently I have been enjoying learning and shooting with them. Unfortunately, I have a significant astigmatism.
So far, there are only dots I've tried that don't look completely blown out to me. The Osight SE which has some mild starbursting, but it is clear enough to be usable. The other is a Cyelee Wolf Pro which is pretty clear except for a small tail or comma. Even the expensive dots like Trijicon, Aimpoint, Holosun, etc. are usually bad enough that they look like little super novas.
My question is about Cyelee's "Stig RS" optics that are supposedly designed specifically for this issue. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they actually that much better than the regular versions?

Came across this post while researching the STIG-RS tech. And gotta say. Nothing speaks fudd like the Glock guy and one singular video with comments full of fudd too. Many runs Cyelee and many of their optics are fine. Their optic is def clearer for me than any Holosun and Osight. Haven’t tried RMR tho bc those are simply overpriced so I wouldn’t bother

5th dimensional cope, buy a good optic, when I see a review that goes over 1000 rounds without it literally just breaking I’ll buy one, you also have no clue what the word fudd means

I have 2000 round on my Cyelee wolf pro. The dot is clearer than my 407C and just as reliable…… so far. But it’s not on my carry gun though. Also I thought I’ve seen that reviewer somewhere… he’s also the same guy who shit on the PSA dagger… because it functioned fine for 6000 rounds then after he put mods in it it stopped working then boom its somehow the guns fault. I have a dagger as well. It’s a fun gun. It’s too cheap for me to carry it over my Glock and Echelon though.
Also why are you talkin about gun part reliability etc then you went ahead and bought a Hyundai. Cyelee and Osight is literally the Ford/KIA group of the optic world right now.

I appreciate your opinion on the quality of Cyelee. However, when my options are either no optics at all or lower quality brands due to my eyes, then what choice do I have? The expensive optics have actually been the hardest for me to see. Their Wolf Pro optic has been a good range optic for me for a couple of thousand rounds without any issues. I just want the clearest picture I can get.

Run ur irons
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
I generally do, I've been shooting irons for a long time and I like them a lot. I just like playing around with new things to see if I get along with them.
Glock_enjoyer@reddit
Honestly look up YouTube reviews of people who actually shoot their guns, not just people who are paid or endorsed to talk about products, check out aregularguy’s video on the cylee, I would personally just run irons until I can afford at least a holosun
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
I can afford a Holosun, that isn't the issue.
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
So, understand that people here don't like the quality of Cyelee and everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, that wasn't my question.
What I want to know is how much clearer their Stig RS optics are compared to standard dots for people with astigmatism. If the expensive optics don't work for me, then I have to go with what does or do without entirely.
HeughJanus@reddit
dude just go to a gun or outdoors store and ask to check out holosun or sig optics of different colors. i hear green is more tism friendly. and make sure you are not turning the brightness all the way up thats gonna starburst terribly. i have yet to hear a positive review from cyclee that isnt from a shill or someone who shoots 100 rounds a year
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
I've actually tried that with friends who own the more recognizable brands, Trijicon, Aimpoint, Holosun, etc. They all are very distorted for me, unfortunately.
HeughJanus@reddit
i refuse to believe every reputable company did not work for you
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
The problem isn't with their optics, the issue is that the lenses of eyes are warped.
vaginal_milk@reddit
It’s so weird how people refuse to believe in the condition of astigmatism. I’ve tried all the big names and, while some are better than others, they’re all blurry as shit

I have an Osight XR that has the crispiest reticle for my astigmatism. The Cyelee Wolf X Pro is pretty solid too but not as good
Scary-Relation-7920@reddit
I'm tempted to pick up one of those. Wish they would have incorporated the front mounted light sensor from their other models.
Greedy-Vast584@reddit
Give them time... These people don't sleep 😂
Scary-Relation-7920@reddit
I have a Cylee Cat EDG on my RXM and it's a solid dot with well over 2000 rounds on it, no issues with zero or durability. It is clearer and offers less lens flaring and reflections than my EPS Carry. It is not a Stig RS model but I can tell you it's a quality optic.

Same here. Bad Astigmatism- learned to shoot irons only. Takes some practice but well worth it.
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
Yeah, I've shot irons for 30 years and that's not likely to every really go away. I'm faster with the at self defense distances and at those ranges it's not difficult to make center mass shots in short order. When playing with dots, my groups are a little tighter a much longer ranges, but that isn't very realistic for a self defense firearm.
Part of it is just level of practice. Decades of irons vs casual practice with dots. That counts for something, though. A few weeks ago my buddy asked to land a 300 yard gong shot with his AK. I adjusted the irons for range and landed the very first shot. On my AR that I put a dot on, it took me 15+ minutes to get it dialed in to my satisfaction.
No-Mechanic3931@reddit
Same. I can hit most anything I try to with my irons but can’t ever seem to get the dots to work with my eye

Cyelee gets a lot of hate. I shoot Uspsa and multiple grand masters that I shoot with run Cyelee every week d and say they are good to go. I have one on a range toy with 500 rounds (which I know is nothing) so far so good. Clear glass, bright enough in the desert…. They upgraded their emitters a couple months ago and are very bright now
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
I have one of their Wolf Pro optics with a fair number of rounds through the pistol it's mounted on. It has given me no mechanical issues at all. So, my experience with that single Cyelee optic is pretty positive. I've just never tried their astigmatism models.
Pretty much anything new gets hate in the firearms community. It's true that some of the old standards like Glock, Trijicon, etc. make some truly dependable and tough products, but people often fail to be open minded to new designs. Maybe Cyelee isn't "combat ready", but if they can help me see more clearly then they are what I would choose.
Affectionate-Roll410@reddit
I’ve heard good things about their astigmatism optics
Clear-Wrongdoer42@reddit (OP)
I've heard a couple of people mention them, but I haven't gotten to try one. So, I was curious if anyone had.

Would I put it on a carry gun? Probably not, but for fun it works better than a vortex xl for me.

Cyelee is fine for occasional range gun guns. Nothing beyond that

cheapest i go is holosun
