Anyone thinking or have moved to Bangkok? Give me your raw feedback about it. I make about $80K/year after taxes. Iโm single, 37 and really wanting to experience life living abroad.

Same for me with the above however, I make about $70K/year after taxes. take home with a kid I would work at the Embassy and looking for International British Schools the child is in elementary. My big question is can I live comfortably, do we need a car if we live downtown?

Just go wherever you'll go within 2 years you'll be bankrupt and lost all your savings ๐๐๐๐

I mean I have $700k in liquid-able investments. I donโt think Iโll lose my savings with guaranteed income

Been here 9 years. From Europe. Bangkok is the best city in the world! I been to 40 countries and lived all over the world. Bangkok is the best Amazing weather and super luxury lifestyle here.
I lived in London for 6 years before moving to Bangkok
Then I go to Koh Samui usually every month. Only 1 hour flight
I donโt even need to travel anymore! Because I have everything here
4000+ restaurants with less then 30 minutes delivery from Grab app
I live in brand new super luxury building in Thonglor with 3 restaurants in the building and rooftop, pool sauna and amazing gym and business lounge + co working space etc ๐
Currently on LTR visa (investment visa) 10 years. And Elite visa before.
Highly recommend!
Europe and the west overall is DONE! ๐คฎ

Awesome post. Would love to hear more. Sounds like you are high end. Monthly spend? Girlfriend or wife? What do you like to do in BKK for fun?

Spend some time checking out areas you might want to live in.

What visa you gonna qualify for? Because the days of simply border hopping in Thailand are looong gone. Same with the days of just showing up at the airport early the day you fly out of Thailand forever and paying a small fine. Never mind the ever increasing fees and minimum deposit for residency visa.
DESPITE what social media and YouTube tell you The government of Thailand and the Thai people donโt really want anymore western, Korean or Japanese expats driving up the cost of living and gentrifying their country and their generally horrible behavior. Unless of course those foreigners can pay.
