What would you recommend as a good PCC? I'm in the market for a premium one and struggling - general consensus seems to be that B&T is quality but very overpriced for what it is, HK MP5 clones are obscenely expensive and I lean toward something more modern, and then Kuna/Stribog/etc. all seem to be 'eh, it's good enough at that price point I guess'.

Owned this and an ap5k, and would take this any day over the ap5k. Decently made in Croatia vs turkshit or chinesium, more reliable, in use by real world police forces, etc.
There's hype around it sure, but I wouldn't say that alone makes it overrated. After all, it punches well above its weight class being a roller delayed pdw around 1k. This and the Springfield Echelon have slowly been changing my opinion around on Springfield.

After trying a bunch of the 9mm PCCs, it’s crazy to me that the MP5 clone is still pretty clearly the best. I think the claims of poor ergos is so overblown, nothing shoots like an MP5

The sp5/ap5 shoots flatter/smoother than these, which actually exhibit a pretty punchy recoil pattern for non direct blowback pcc's.
These have modern controls and ergos though, and non-crap optics mounting solutions... which generally tends to shift the needle in favor of the Kuna unless you're just in it "for the vibes"

This pretty much sums it up. The MP5 shoots smoother and flatter, but at the cost of a system that has poor ergos, poor optics mounting, $50+ mags, and won't feed flat nose bullets. Slap an HBI short stroke buffer in it and difference in muzzle movement becomes much less.

There are good optic mounts on the market today for the platform. And if you want more modern ergos, AR style lowers give you the option to add an AR grip, safety, and trigger. Really, the only thing I find myself missing on my AP5 is LRBHO, and that’s not a big deal imo.

Stribogs have been very hit or miss with the consumer market. Kuna has shown to be far more reliable and less picky about flat nose ammo. And as far as I know there is no FRT for the bog yet.
