Hi i’m looking for a comfy chair for long gaming sessions i don’t really care how it looks i prioritise comfort my current chair starts to hurt my butt and hard on the back when i sit for a few hours. My budget is about $250.

Never buy a gaming chair, those are trash, look for office chairs

okay but which one? Any?

I preferred Sihoo Australia it’s a lower cost than Herman Miller’s but still expensive but they’re big gaps in price. I used Sihoo M57 and good quality for me.

Herman Miller or Steelcase are the de facto ergonomic office chairs. There are some other brands lower down the scale if the price makes you want to end it all though. A chair is like a good mattress though, buy it once and you're good for a long time and it will help keep you healthy, these chairs are put through rigorous tests to ensure you get the support you need and blood circulation etc.
I have an Okamura which is in the same range as the above, they have replacement parts available for decades so if something does go wrong you can completely refurbish it. Another great option is scouring the used sources and either buying a fully refurbished one at a discount or just getting a slightly used one at a fraction of the initial cost.

Herman Miller's. I went to a used office furniture store and picked one up for under $450.

I don't have any recommendations. I bought a gaming chair and I regret it, so I was just warning you.

Steelcase Leap v2. Should be able to find some near $250 on fb market. Had mine a few years now and love it. Had secret labs before and back and legs would hurt after 2 hours. I can sit in the leap all day and night without issue.

The office chairs on Amazon made for fat people, I mean fatass mofos the chair weight limit 350pounds to 450pounds they're heavy duty for that purpose and almost have as much cushion as a couch. The only thing I would add is a foot rest to lean back for relaxed casual gaming. It's like a portable recliner couch on wheels. Actual gaming chairs only have like 1inch of cushion and feel like uncomfortable after while and don't even compete

good idea

others have mentioned Secret Labs, and i have to say they make good chairs. I've had my Titan series (XL size) for over 5 yrs now and its been holding up great and still comfy to this very day. At this rate I'll probably get another 5 years out of it.

I have found that the best deals on chairs can be found at used Office furniture warehouses. I was able to get a Knoll Generation (regular price about $1500) for $200. They also had Herman Miller options as well.
If you're in a large city, you can likely find one by getting on Facebook Marketplace and searching for "Herman Miller" or "Herman Miller Aeron" or "Knoll Generation". Look for pictures that seem like they're taken in a warehouse.
Once you have your chair (and especially if it's a pretty expensive office chair like a Herman Miller), be sure to find a guide about fitting and adjusting it. They can usually be found on Youtube. I actually HATED my Knoll Generation for a long time until I finally watched the adjustment guide and was able to mostly lockout the recline function.

Used Herman Miller for $300.

I just got a Haworth Soji about a month ago and it’s been awesome. I’m 5’11 190 and it has the perfect amount of adjustments.

Be prepared to pay a lot. And you won't get any recommendations because it's mostly depending on where you live and what you can buy. For example everyone suggests aeron chairs but in my country they cost over 1.5k€. Yeah no way thanks.
Sadly, you need to research deeply on your own. It's a very difficult purchase

So you want a high end office chair. Like a Steelcase, Herman Miller, Or Branch Ergo Pro. Now they are way expensive new, but keep an eye out on facebook market place and you can snag them slightly used from an office sale under $250.
High end office chairs have the sitting for long hours problem solved. Worth the bit of time it'll take to find a used one. They are also fairly repairable and have readily available parts so you can keep them for a while.

My Secret Lab is a great chair! I'm an XL size and it holds me well and has for 3+ years now.
